I know I have an old HDTV (It only has component inputs). I will most likely replace it in a few years when costs for HD-DVD and Bluray have come Down. The thing that still concerns me is not many recievers have switching for anything but component. So I dont know what I would do if I had a bluray player an HD-DVD player and maybe a tivo series 3 that all require HDMI with HDCP to appease just hollywood and not the guy that just dropped a few grand on new stuff.
They would be really smart to make a DVD-RW that loses its state after a few days then gets returned to get something else burned on it. Hell they could just use really cheap media those allways seam to stop working after a few days.
I saw a story about 2 boys named winner and loser. Of the 2 loser was a decorated police officer, And Winner was spending a lot of his time in jail. The parents named winner because the husband favourite baseball team won when the baby was born. They named loser because one of the kids said we allready have a winner why not name him loser. They both said growing up it didnt matter that they had strange names.
I want to know if Im cruizing along at 80mph will it still work. I saw this in popsci I think a long time ago and it had a top speed of 45mph. I didnt see them even address this at all. Im not going to slow down so I can watch tv.
Is this thing fast enough to play games and record my favorite shows in the background. It would suck to not be able to play games just because you also want it to grab the daily show.
They give a quote for how many hours it can record of HDTV. But it gives no info of how the unit deals with it. Does it stay digital, does it get converted back and forth, and does this thing have any fricken copy prevention crap.
I think one aera linux has diffuclty is in who will support machines with linux installs. I know that at the place I work, we wouldn't give any support to linux. We mainly support Windows and machintoshs a little bit. And If you have problems with a windows machine its not to hard to find someone with basic windows experience to help you out.
the board you talk about is the thunder not the tiger. The thunder board goes for $342 the cheapest you can find on pricewatch. The tiger loses the intergrated video, scsi, and dual nics.
The tiger also uses a standard atx power supply, and goes for $205 on pricewatch.

I havent seen anywhere what SCO whats IBM to do to comply. How can IBM become compliant short of purchasing SCO.
I wonder what will happen when this comes up against sonys potable player. I think these are more competitors than the PSP vs GBA:SP.

they just need to inform the old people no more taping matlock and see how long he lasts at election time
Theres no reason they couldnt write a program to just add those random scratches and sell the showing for more to the people that care for that.
