    If you disable the RPC service on Windows XP, the computer won't boot anymore (or something else, also very bad, will happen) so all you can do is block RPC's port with a firewall (or apply the patch).

    It must have gotten worse because it is now easier than it ever was to find the answer to whatever question you might have, so those who find their answers assume it is really easy then take this "do it yourself, it's easy" attitude.

    You've obviously never used a Windows OS. There are several examples of their new technologies that can be seen in action when using windows, like the BSOD, the VXD panic, etc.

    This so called 20%, at least for me, is when I enter the state of flow. There are specific requirements to be met so that one can enter this state of mind, in which the person is very creative and time seems to go faster, among other things.     They get thousands of story submissions per week. My guess is that it is hard to not post duplicate stories given that there are several stories a day posted by different people. There should be a software solution to this problem. Everyone is free to code it and send a diff to Slashcode. Go ahead.

    Drupal seems to have all the features of Slash and Scoop plus more. And you only need PHP & MySQL support, so it will run even on a Windoze box.
