DSi XL is a great console. Well worth the price of entry. It's funny, I feel like it's the GBA Micro/SP2 launch all over again. The best version of last gen's hardware released amid rumblings about the next coming soon. I don't think the dedicated portable gaming device will die out until somebody (read: apple) decides to start putting dedicated controls on their machines. I love my ipad but I haven't found a game where I haven't wished for real controls.
The best mobile port of nethack I've played is for the DS. Requires a flash cart, but it's really nice. Much better than the wince and ios ports, imo. The DS is a pretty good platform for roguelikes. Shiren the Wanderer, Izuna, and the Pokemon Mystery Dungeons are commercial roguelikes. Shiren's probably closest to the form.
Console gamers just haven't figured out yet that their consoles transformed wholly into unupgradable PCs this gen. Installation before play, patches, unskippable trailers for licensed tech, etc.
All I want is god damn bluetooth controller support. Until Apple allows for one, I can't see my ipad as a gaming device. There are some games that multitouch works OK for, but I would still rather have a controller.
For what it's worth, I'll leave that to the trolls, The Daily on the ipad is $39 a year. I've been using the free trial and it's got a bit too much sports and gossip for me, but no more than print tabloids if that's what you like. The recently launched news aggregate app, "Zite," is fairly slick and I can see it becoming my usual news over breakfast.
You don't need a computer, there's the camera connection kit for that. The way I see it, they built the best content consumption device that they could. I think what then happened is that Apple was completely and utterly caught off guard by the emergent market for content *creation* on the iPad. There's audio interfaces for it now, MIDI interfaces, guitar rig. The last OS update finally added CoreMIDI so you don't need to buy a purpose-built interface, you can hang any class-compliant MIDI device (including controllers!) off the camera kit's USB port. Then there's all manner of photo manip and gallery/portfolio stuff available for artists. Exciting times!
So this is how Facebook falls. I wonder if Zynga themselves will start a new social networking site or if they'll just buy some up and hope they picked the next one.
I'm not sure we'll ever get something like it on the PC, but the PS3 lets you do the game sharing thing for online purchases. I don't have one, but my friends are all shared to each other and will even go in on the larger purchases together.
Don't let it put you off. They ARE model Ms. The biggest difference is ever so very slightly less "quality"(density? composition? I'm no plastics engineer) of the plastic. You'd have to be a regular IBM M user for years or have them side by side to tell, unicomp really has it down. I'm not certain you'd get as many crits with a unicomp, but you'd still be dealing lethal damage.
Could the Lulz Boat be flying false colours? All this sure would be a convenient way to push through some ridiculous legislation.
Clearly the actions of a "Lone Wolf," that needs to be investigated.
I'm happy user. Yeah the phone selection isn't awesome but for $25/mo I'll run my Intercept until the thing blows up.
Between the coffee and the masturbation, my prostate is safe as houses. I've just read that my heart loves booze, too. Everything's amazing now!
Has AV solutions for all platforms.

Throttled over 5GB is better than a lot of carriers charging you for over fooGB on their unlimited plans. Another happy VM customer, here.
They're all Comcast now... and by how well comcast did with TechTV after purchase, I expect things to turn Comcastic!

Unless it's a quad-band phone, he'll have limited coverage in the US. The Americas don't primarily use the same bands for GSM.
Are you sure he wasn't just English?
Ridiculous vehicle mode, only two weapons, extremely quick development time... This IS Borderlands 2.

Even the expensive ones squeal like a bastard. The dimming has gotten a lot better but they've really got to work on the balasts.

I don't care if it's terribad.
I don't care if it's Borderlands2 with a Duke skin.
It's Duke, it's 2011. I always bet on Duke and I'm letting it ride.
Better be playable at PAXeast, though, god damn.

Sorry if I was obtuse, I completely agree. Change is fantasy. I was deriding the slogan not the grandparent poster.
cool story, bro.

Actually with his piloting skills, they should be hiring him to train soldiers on drone flight.
Apple's been doing it for years, everybody else was bound to catch up to that innovation.
