"I'm Christian, and that's ok" shouldn't be offensive to anyone, even an atheist. At worst, the response should be "so what? You're free to do whatever you want with your life as long as it doesn't affect me." "You are Christian, and need to be either cured or persecuted" is an offensive statement.
Gee, 4 posts in and you're already assuming that the "left wing" is totally for this app's removal.
I'm for seeing Apple squirm over this. They put themselves in this position of playing morality gatekeeper, and now they're in a no-win situation. Ultimately I think it's stupid for them to remove it, *except* that they'd already set the precedent by removing other offensive applications. Now they have to at least *pretend* to maintain some consistency.
I'm loving it. No matter what happens, everybody loses.
If you can get by with wifi-only for your data connection, just grab whatever phone you'd like off of Craigslist. I'm currently debugging with a Hero and an Evo that aren't tied to any plan, and rarely leave my desk.
Also, the emulator works for debugging the vast majority of the time, and gives you access to whatever networks the host is connected to.
Neither of those screenshots are even close to looking like something with as much graphical complexity as WoW.
That said, you probably *could* get WoW working on one of these devices. With almost all graphical features turned off. And a terrible user interface. You wouldn't be able to do much PvP, or any instances (unless your party was *very* patient), but you could probably play well enough to kill 10 rats or collect 15 stacks of lumber.
Except the issues you've listed are all things that took time to discover. It seems like any rudimentary burn-in/load test would have caught this issue before it ever even went into mass production.
As long as we're calling names, you're the scum apologist that allows Big Media to push more and more restrictive laws in more and more places.
There are far more grounds to not pay for media than just to save money. In fact, the GP made no reference to saving money. I'd say they're smart for not feeding the corporate law machines that subjugate artists' work and want to do away with the public domain. I'd say they're smart for not supporting companies that engage in propaganda. I'd say they're smart for avoiding potentially having their computer or other equipment 0wned by the next Sony rootkit.
For the record, I personally don't torrent anything. I have other things to do with my time besides waste it on uninspired crap from the major publishers. However, I don't see anything wrong with people who do choose to torrent stuff; Disney and their ilk have stolen the public domain from us, it's only fair that we receive some compensation for it.
Go watch some creationist YouTube videos; particularly ones from "lecturer" types. If you can make it through all of the maddening misinformation, they're a great source of hilarious "theories."
No, you just couldn't take it because you're a humorless Apple fanboi.
If you want to read positive Apple news, go over to CNN -- the entire tech section seems to be dedicated to how great Apple products are, and how every one of their competitors is lacking in some way.
It was either Salt or The Town (or both); rented them from Redbox and couldn't skip the previews or ads.
I know there are others. Those are just the only two movies I've rented in years and I remember for certain trying to skip them (even stop-stop-play didn't work) and being unable to.
And on top of that, there are COMPUTER SYSTEMS that are part of this reactor. That means that, as a CS degree holder and professional, *I* am qualified to write up an article about why this thing is no big deal.
Yeah, you've pretty much nailed the Democrats' position. At least, the position as it gets explained by people who have no fucking clue what it is, and let themselves be mislead by Fox News and other bullshit talking heads.
This assertion is so mind-bogglingly stupid that I can't believe anyone would actually make it, but then I've heard enough libertarians speak to know that that is sadly not the case.
Let's see. Infrastructure. Education systems. Everything we've gotten from NASA research. The Internet.
Do I really need to go on? Or do none of those count as "wealth"? Or, do all of those somehow count as "created by private interests"?
Except that more than 80% supported some form of reform, then massive negative advertising campaigns and outright lies (death panels) dropped that support amongst the easily misled, and then bad compromises with the GOP weakened support from everyone else.
I'll try another example.
"I'm Christian, and that's ok" shouldn't be offensive to anyone, even an atheist. At worst, the response should be "so what? You're free to do whatever you want with your life as long as it doesn't affect me."
"You are Christian, and need to be either cured or persecuted" is an offensive statement.
Can you see the distinction?

Oh good god. Get a fucking sense of perspective.

Nice spin there.

I suspect you need to look up a phenomenon known as "confirmation bias."

And unfortunately, a lot of the CSSA would starve to death because the Red States produce food to support the large cities in most of the Blue States.

*None of those things have anything to do with evolution.

No, you're a dumbass because you don't know that evolution has absolutely nothing to do with the origin of the universe.

Yeah! You can't trust that guy at all! Obama's main donations came from Big Media, Big Finance, Big Oil, and Big Gay Al!
--Jeremy
On top of what you've said -- is anyone going to seriously argue that *movies* aren't made for commercial purposes?
The argument is so obviously wrong that one wonders what was going through Moriarty's head when he made it.

It also ensures that developers are forced to build native iOS applications, rather than web applications that could work on any phone.

This is pretty much SOP for any of the online media outlets any more, it's not unique to Huffington Post.

Government institutions created the goddamn internet. It was far freer before private entities got onboard.
