Yeah the VMU's are great for making small games on. I was really hoping that the DC would become as popular as the MegaDrive / Genesis,.. but alas the crappy advertising is what imo let them down. The graphics were ahead of the time, but they didn't show screenshots or movies in their ads.:(
UO was great... its a pity that development teams feel that a 3D engine is *needed* to make a great MMORPG. If only they would make a higher resolution / more detailed UO type engine then personally that'll make a great game.
Blackcomb is the server due out ~2008 you twit. I think you meant to say, currently Longhorn doesn't support 99.99999% of apps until the emulator layer arrives and that it includes something called DRM which linux zealots love to HATE, even though they do not know how it will be implemented. F*ckers.
Exactly, I remember a lot of my younger teen years being dominated by the internet on saturdays... especially the morning when normally I'd play Quake then later TFC... they were great years...
If so, I'm likely to go out and buy an MS Bluetooth mouse. It looks cool but I was disappointed to find out that it is not compatible with my nice new 12" Powerbook!
Just becuase the software for open source is free, this doesnt mean people will upgrade. Well in the business world... when new hardware may be needed, custom software may not be compatible with the new setup and so forth.
How many open source companies openly support older products? Dont' they just say upgrade to the latest major revision? I think its unfair picking on Microsoft because they decide to drop an OS that was in development over 10 years ago.
How many contractors have put in bids to rebuild Iraqi homes, hospitals and the like? I would assume none because of the lack of money in it.
Oil on the other hand is why the US is attacking Iraq... rather that sorting out North Korea who are blatently being naughty (but luckily don't possess miles of oil miles).
Well ive installed 1.4.1 from software update and so far its fixed some bugs that were annoying me (some applets didnt work in safari) and performance is definately up. A friend noted an almost 4 fold increase in loading time for one of his projects. Go Apple!:)
A solid grounding in maths is always good. When pushed far enough it caus you to develop different thinking patterns that address problems in new ways. Which are always useful for any problems.
Hmm but oddly they also are Airport Extreme compatible... so far its just been the Power Macs & PowerBooks that are AE compatible!

...What if it launches and is very sucessful? They could start to port more software over, or instead even port OS-X to x86!
Maybe reading your own advice would be good;

=[ Slashdot really needs someone to check for dupes... or a script. This is just stupid.

So the graphs have just been reversed caus apple talked to Adobe?
I heard it was just americans that drive SUV's...
Are any non Allies news feeds confirming this? Also does anyone have any video feeds on it?

Urm... In those american SUVs??
Will this mean cheaper displays for the consumer or are they going to be sky high like LCDs were for a few years?
Unless they are much greater than LCDs in some respect, I don't know why the regular Joe Bloggs would want to upgrade from a CRT.
Heh yeah, i did mean decrease. Too many late nights with not enough coffee!

That also begs the question of, why would you spend $0 on an operating system for a $3000 server?
Im guessing you're an american ;)
wwwoow thats some good shit dude.
