Well, if his original production plan was a single board, he'll just ask slashdot for a F/OSS alternative. (And get flamed for being a leecher in the process...)
what songs 14 years ago would you still purchase today with the same enthusiasm as when it first came out?
I know I'm not adding to the discussion much with this post, but I thought it might be fun to answer this question. Today I bought a new (the used ones were book-less) copy of Spin Doctors - Pocket Full of Kryptonite. This album should have gone into the public domain about a month ago. (It was first published 14 years and some 28-odd days ago).
Yeah yeah, I'm a whore of early 90s pop culture...:)
Well, for one, they will understand that vendor lock-in is bad. So, let them know that what they are doing is essentially the same and creating a solution based on standards would create less pain if a transition would occur.
Um... the hardware has the same capabilities with the PS2 and the slim version. Same with PS1. Cant say the same with regard to the Xbox360 and the Xbox360+HDDVD
Need more memory on an existing system? Buy more and plug it in. Can you do that on a Mac? Without being forced to buy the parts from Apple? I do not believe you can. Well, dispite your beliefs, you can.
The UN is more democratic on any day than the USA.
This was modded as insightful? Excuse me, but how is a 'government' (maybe the word council is more appropriate) that is summised of officials who are appointed, not elected, more democratic than a government like the U.S.?
I'm not a fan of democracy (tyrrany of the mob, yada yada yada) but your comment is absolutely obsurd.
Everything, eh? Not even close... Hell, the newest debian release comes on 2 DVDs, doesn't it? And that probably only includes 'free' software, not software under 'non-free' oss licenses.
Thats not a bad idea... Right now, I have my page rendering a little bit differently (but as intended) in IE (and as a result, lless attractive). I have some extra space available and I think I'm going to make a button that says something along the lines of "Looks like shit? Try FireFox!"
Actually, rather than testin gfor full CSS compatibality, the ACID test makes sure that when broken CSS is put into a CSS document, it breaks correctly.
Apple has gotten as bad as Microsoft and Real Networks when it comes to trying to take over your multimedia.
Oh? My quicktime files play in iTunes and my mpeg, xvid, & wmv files play in media player classic. If I chose so, my quicktime files could play in mpc just as well (I did this prior to iTunes accepting video files). I've had experiences with WMP trying to steal file associations (I use it when i need to make a video playlist) but never with iTunes (and in WMP its easily fixed). iTunes has never hijacked file formats for me.
FUD? Certainly!

Doesn't really matter at this point, does it?
They could call it "Star Warz Episode Tres: Moneybags" and the same people would see it anyways.:)
Yeah, too bad it's in Cleveland and not in a city that people could drag a s/o to ;)

Only yoooouu
It is, but it's not being actively protected...
It's up to the trademark holder to protect their trademark.

Surely it has nothing to do with the face that it's 2005...
My copy of Quake 3 also came with a metal case.

Wonder what the original dog will think when he sniffs the clone's ass. ;)

Context, my man. It's about the context.
Or you could just simplify things by using viz. as a replacement for both i.e. and e.g.

And with that comment, I didn't even consider that the PS3 is supposed to use bluray, not DVD. SIlly me...
It just shifted my preference toward PS3 and away from Xbox360.
Me too. Shocking too since I havent bought a new console in years... my last console was a $20 used Dreamcast.
Right now, all Xbox 360 has going for it is the promise of Halo 3.
All I would use a console to play is sports games, so it doesn't even have that going for me. I have no desire to play a FPS on a console.

You can uby a linux kit for PS2@, also.
It doesn't work with the newer slim PS2, though.
Thats fine, but it still doesnt test for all css standards. Error handling is a major focus.

Much less crude, of course.

and switching to winamp... hmmm...
itunes stole my file associations back without asking! oh wait.. no it didnt...
I use winamp just as often to stream music to work, and ive never run into any of the issues you suggest.

FreeBSD LiveCD?
Surely someone hasn't been listening to netcraft.
Funny. Laugh.
