Wow, lets not get ahead of ourselves. Internet E-destroyer still controls the lions share of the market by far. Its not even a race this point. 100,000 more downloads it not that many. There are still many, many idiots out there who think their pop-up stopper will solve their problems.

Mozilla is gaining in popularity, but there is still a long road to go before things change and IE users become the minority. I wish Mozilla luck, but anything can happen in the next year, includng Microsoft actually fixing IE.

So don't could your chickens before they hatch, much less start injecting virus tests into them because animal rights activist might just get mad at you or something.

can't say i really support MS, i def would never actually pay money for a windows OS. i need to use windows for the games/photoshop/etc though, so i do.

i know there are other options but those other options suck and are sooooo not worth the hassle. so while windows is the only OS with all the software written for it that i want to use, i'll use it - party of a problem or not (i dont actually see how windows itself is a problem, by the way)

I work tech support for Gateway. Trust me those computers are verified crap. They put the worst, cheapest parts in all of the systems I've seen.

My favorite is the guy who called up with a Gateway computer that had 768 MB Ram, a Radeon 9600, and RAID 0 in it. Which is all fine, except the power supply was 250 Watts!!! Needless to say this guy had tons of problems with his computer from day 1.

well ok. say you are 15 year old sally using the family compy. you go to some site cuz a friend emailed you a link. then you get there and some grey pop up come up from internet explorer that say something you don't know what it says and just click ok to get rid of it. then you continue surfing.

well what sally didnt realize she was clicking was a prompt from IE. the prompt was asking he if she tusted the website and would allow it to install something onto her computer. unknowingly she clicked yes. it installed, got into her registry, got into her system and now this program runs freely on her computer. the program pop-up ads, changes website urls, and pretty much earns money for the company that owns it. annoying yes, but did sally actually give permission to the company to install it? i highly doubt it. she just clicked stuff, thats all.
