So, the only way to get the original trilogy, on a decent medium (VHS doesn't count, Laserdisc isn't an option for 99% of the people out there) is through... piracy?
eh? - what's a decent medium? are you saying you'd rather have a DVD copy of a video tape? Because, unless I'm mistaken, that's the only pirate copy of the original you're going to be able to get on a decent medium.
Imagine if it ran linux. You'd have dependancy problems on your remote
"Honey, change the channel!"
"I can't, the remotes frozen! It says I need remote-0.1-02321331r5 and we've only got remote-0.1-02321331r4.5. but remote-0.1-02321331r5 is incompatible with infrared-0.4, so we'll have to use infrered-0.4 instead"
"Scot Finnie is Editor, the Pipelines and TechWeb, as well as the author of Scot's Newsletter and previously an editor with Windows Magazine, ZDNet, and PC/Computing. He has been writing about Windows and other operating systems for two decades."
This doesn't exactly make him biased - more well informed surely?.
For Episode III, rip off Kurosawa's ripoff of Shakespeare's "Macbeth," Yeah any version of Macbeth not directed by Shakespeare himself is a rip off.
More importantly, with all these discussions on the quality of Lucas' direction and writing, perhaps you should rewatch the original again. The writing, acting and direction throughout the film is unbelievably poor. What carries it is a great storyline - something that wasn't lacking Episodes 1 and 2. As for memorable lines how about "You'll be the death of me"?? - really: grow up, stop whining and get on with your life - it's only a film.
Oh my god! this is a tragedy; whilst his output had been fairly lacklustre of late, you can't deny the number of classic horror books he's written. Nor, indeed, the number of classic films which have made based on his work - The shawshank redemption and the shining to name but two. He will be missed.
So because Orson Welles adapts the book for radio no-one else can make a film of it? so was Peter Jackson wrong to make a film of LOTR because it had already been adapted for radio?
This doesn't make sense - Welle's version is not even famous for it's content than it's effect, it's not like he has rights over any subsequent version regardless of what format it arrives.
You also say that "Even that won't work if you're wearing headphones" , which i assume you're talking about surround sound.
This is obvious as to why it wont work. Both channels of audio are reaching your ears at the same time.
That's why you need the HRT which transforms the sound according to the shape of your ears. Generally HRT's are tuned to a specific person but I suppose you could get away with non-specific ones.
I think I've heard of this game somewhere, maybe a small piece in Wired or something??. I believe it also introduced the dead-space concept and, due the cabinet sparsity, had a unique player-attraction mechanism.
It is truly an excellent game which you should play if you find it in your local arcades. I wouldn't recommend playing it with your friends, as intense rivalries may soon develop!
Keep going!! Given todays news and extrapolating I think if you masturbate MORE than five times a day (the recommend allowance) you will cure all your ailments.
I was told this by a travelling salesman - I looked like a sensible man he said!, then he was gone - with 40 of my dollars. But I, I had the information....
You misunderstand me, a correct analogy would be to shrink an adult to the size of a 3 year old. Thus they would have the same amount of blood. The process of over-ripening is, I believe, akin to sun drying tomatoes. As the melon ripens it shrinks, but the flesh inside remains - thus there is the same amount of flesh compressed into a smaller space. Flavour, naturally, increases.
I think that reducing the size of the watermelon would dramatically increase the flavour, considering it's the same amount of fruit and juice, but compressed into a smaller space. You can achieve the same effect by "super-ripening", a process whereby a melon is over-ripened. Melons which have been super-ripened have superior flavour - though this is something I read somewhere, I have yet to see such a melon should it exist.

They do a few cheap overpriced ones too

it doesn't even consume power when it's idling on a page It consumes power all the time, whether refreshing the page or not.
Which tool do you mean?

Err.. look at the time of posting assmonkey - it says 1340. If you didn't realise - this is after midday.
that April Fools doesn't apply after midday?
But only works really well if the recordings are made with moulds of your own ears...

looks like my vhs tapes with original episodes soon will be priceless...
Yeah - after all you were the only person in the world to buy them.

Can anyone confirm this??
