If CBC doesn't want just ANYONE downloading their podcasts, they already have an internet standard mechanism for restricting that. It's called "Authentication". CBC, the onus is on *YOU*.
I agree totally. I think it's Wall Street that demands the replacement of Corporate officers that are proven to have behaved poorly, but consumers would prefer that the officers stay put and FIX their mistakes.
Not providing HDMI is indeed a mistake, but what's unforgivable is the lack of even COMPONENT outputs, or even VGA. It would have been easier to convert the output to RGB than to convert it to composite, and you would have way better clarity on today's televisions.
If you paid for a PC game, and *DON'T* have a disc in your hand as a result, then you are just a plain old sucker. The app store model only works for smartphones, but PC owners DEMAND more. Tell these companies that you won't stand for crappy practices and limited availability. Tell them by not giving Microsoft's store ONE RED CENT!
Sure, that SOUNDS like a good idea, but eventually, the real world will outpace your OS. Win 2k is great! It will run fast on modern machines. But eventually, it stops getting updates for the OS. "That's OK..." you say, "Those updates usually break things more often than fix them". Office 95 is fine, until you realize that everyone else in the world is saving their doc files as.docx, and you can't open those. Then Mozilla stops providing builds for Windows 2K, so the latest version of Firefox you can run is 3.6. That means no HTML5 support. Your experience starts to suffer. Finally, when your hardware fails (it often does - bad caps), you have to replace your motherboard, and you find out that the manufacturer doesn't even make drivers for Windows 2K for your new hardware.
So, you bite the bullet and upgrade to Windows 10 like you should have done years ago, but only to find that your peripherals (Printer, scanner, etc) are so old because you had to have them working on Win2K, that there are no drivers for them on Windows 10.
You thought you were saving money, but you were just putting off the purchase until you had to buy EVERYTHING at once. Well done.
What the hell is the "Windows 10 toolbar"? Do you mean the TASKBAR? Or maybe it's the toolbar in Microsoft Edge, or Internet Explorer? It's hard for me to take this article seriously when the submitter cannot even identify the proper component of the operating system.
I saw the announcement, and sure, the roofing tiles LOOKED nice, but there was absolutely no mention of their efficiency, or how they would connect to each other. Elon however did go out of his way to demonstrate that there was some kind of "micro-louvre" layer that hides the solar cell from view unless you're looking at it straight on. The people in the crowd clapped, and I just shook my head, because that would actually REDUCE the amount of sunlight it can be exposed to.
Another demonstration was where they dropped a 10lb weight on each of the classic roofing tiles and then a solar tile. While the solar tile didn't shatter into shards like the other tiles did, I bet the underlying pv cell was no longer operational after that. Then you would have to either manually bypass it in the circuit, or replace it. Either way, if you're climbing up on the roof to do that, you might just as well replace it.
My last concern is (as always) how would this system perform in a northern area. I live in Minnesota, where 1/3rd of the year is dark, and roofs are covered with feet of snow. We don't see a whole lot of Tesla automobiles here either. How does the new Powerwall 2 in your garage hold up to -20f degree winters?
Don't forget.... You can only count the deaths if they are the result of NATURAL CAUSES. Just because your test subject dies because he was hit by a bus doesn't mean that facebook is responsible for the living....
Little did he know, it was the end of all messages for all time.

The web browser should be as small and lean as possible. It's job is to render HTML. Fact checking is *NOT* the browser's job.
Your TV does not cook you dinner.
Your car does not raise your kids.
Your cell phone does not do your laundry.
Of course your browser should not check facts for you.

He probably meant "Bazinga!"

Perhaps they both use the same charger, and perhaps there is a design flaw in the charger that damages the batteries....
Too soon, man.
Every machine will have a QR code on it which, when scanned, will direct you to the machine's Patreon page.

Filezilla is a populat FTP client, but it's NOT an FTP server.

This is news that we could have used A YEAR AGO! What's the point in revealing it just days before the election?
It tastes like mango chutney and burnt hair!

Uh, we already HAD flip phones.
This is a switch! Instead of people losing their jobs to computers, "Program Manager" lost its job to a human!
Dude! What kind of enemies to you have?
Boss: "I called you in here because in 3 months, you haven't responded to a single Email."
Employee: "I don't use email."
Boss: "You're Fired."
Where were you looking? Open Control Panel and you find a Flashplayer applet icon.
This page says that Flash player is integrated in IE in Windows 10.

Should I be angry at Adobe for having a crappy flash API, or should I be angry at Microsoft for providing Adobe Flash BY DEFAULT in Windows 10?
That would be Yale and the University of California.
In other news, Yahoo users are jumping out of windows....
