What happens to these stolen phones?

A couple of months ago I was looking for a used Android phone, and I couldn't find one that was a reasonable cost. I was totally willing to buy a stolen phone if it would save me money. It turns out that the thiefs believe that the value of a stolen phone is equal to the value of a new phone, so they mark the sucker way up. Why would I pay the same amount for a possibly faulty, no warranty, possibly infected with spyware phone as a new phone that has none of that?

Apple makes really nice looking hardware, but I swear their developers don't know how to write software for windows. Of course this is a long-standing issue... Just look at Quicktime. It has been awful on Windows ever since its creation. It was one of the first programs to install a tray icon which runs all the time just in case you might open a .mov file. There was really no need to do that, and yet they're still doing stuff like that - installing several services that always run even if you don't connect your iPhone to your PC.

When humans colonize other planets, there is no need to bring bugs with us. That will just be another planet for them to infest.
