But we're talking about computer displays. If you can put two displays side by side and a user can't see any difference in picture quality then those two displays have the same level of quality. It doesn't matter which one costs more.
Usually by the time I get off work it's almost dark outside. It really sucks to be looking out the office window seeing what I nice day it is and not be able to go outside. Business hours should be from noon to 8:00. They way I could get up and go enjoy some of the daylight hours even though it's a work day.
Or they could just make that person wait until everyone who was there on time has gotten on the plane. Usually there's only three or four people that arrive late.
It's odd that most people are willing to pay $20,000 for a car they drive 30 minutes a day but they aren't willing to spend $400 on a phone that they use all the time. Most people benefit more from having a good cell phone than a good car, and the difference between a good phone and a crappy phone is much more pronounced than the difference between a good car and crappy car.
There's a difference between belief and faith. Faith is thinking something is true even though there is no reason to think it is true. But if there is a reason to believe something is true (even if it hasn't been proven) then it's belief not faith.
The whole basis of monsanto's case was that Percy knew the seeds he was planting were roundup ready. The case had nothing to do with accidental contamination.
You should really try using an iPhone before you dismiss it. It's screen resolution is more than enough to read slashtot without scrolling from side to side. I'm using my iPhone to post this even though my laptop is sitting right next to me. I pretty much only use computers for work anymore.
The calendar program on the iPhone allows the calendar to be edited. I just don't see why apple would go through the extra effort of writing a different version of the calendar for the iPod Touch.
Where did you hear that? You can enter calendar entries on an iPhone. I don't know why apple would bother making a separate version of the calendar program with less features for the iPod Touch.
You can actually turn an iPhone off. These people left their iPhones on standby and thought they were turned off. Just because the screen is black doesn't mean the device is off.
To turn it off all you have to do is hold down the standby button for a few seconds then then hit the off button when it asks you if you really want to turn the phone off.
I don't control what views a child is exposed to. That's under the control of the childs parents. Censorship isn't really going to change that. As for your other argument, there's a pretty big difference between letting people say what they want and letting a group of people commit genocide.
If someone I disagree with isn't allowed to express their views in an open forum they will find some other way of promoting their viewpoint.
If one person is willing to express a view then many other people probably also believe the same thing. If they are allowed to express their views openly then those views can be openly rebutted. That's the reason I never mod down people I disagree with on slashtot. Its better to post my on response or mod up a good response.
If they took the environment seriously they would be willing to give up their mansions and personal jets to reduce green house emissions. If they can use expensive technology to make a mansion use as much energy as a house then they could use that technology to make a house that uses much less energy. How can they tell me I should give up my car spend two hours a day riding the buss when they aren't willing to spend 30 minites waiting in a security line to stop using their personal jet.
They are using a logarithmic scale so a sub-sueface blast is twice as large as a surface blast. 10^11.9 vs. 10^11.4
We may need Bruce Willis after all.
It seems to crash a lot more often if I use the iPod while surfing the internet. I also seem to find myself suddenly posting to slashdot, even though I was I the middle of doing something else, and I don't remember taking out my iPhone. That's a little disturbing.
That's the big problem with the modern legal system. How can a person be expected to follow the law when that same person isn't expected to know or understand the law. The government should limit the number of laws so that a normal person can reasonably be expected to know whether or not something they are doing is illegal.
If everyone in the US owns a cell phone and replaces it every two years there is a market for 3 million phones a week. From what I hear apple sold more like 1 million phones in the first week, which would be 1/3 of the entire US phone market. Of coarse apple might not keep the same sales numbers next week.
I'm not interested in who the poster is. The only thing I'm concerned about is wether or not what he is saying is true. From your other posts in this thread it seems that you're not disputing that the suits were filed. So your argument is apparently: "the statements the post are true but you should disregard them because the person who said it is a 'bad' person". That makes no sense.
I want to see these suits fail because I don't want to have to consult a lawyer every time I post something on an internet forum.
I'm always looking for food that has been obtained using fair trade practices.
So you look for the fair trade label on foods. But do you actually know what standards a company has to follow in order for its food to be 'fair'. Or do you just assume all of the requirements are things that you support?
If you just look for a label (or the absence of a label) without actually understanding what that label means you're not really an informed consumer.
PS: I don't mean you specifically. I'm only bringing this up because I know that very few people actually know what the fair trade standards are, but a lot of people only by fair trade coffee.
You didn't win, creative paid off your lawyers with millions of dollars and gave you cupons to try to keep people from realizing what is going on.

...get some self-control.
I will just as soon as you explain why this kind of self control is important or helpful in any way.

The iPhone supports push e-mail, you just have to use an e-mail account that supports push email.

It seems like you just cut the wires and splice in a new battery.
A real keyboard
None of the other phones come with a real keyboard either.
They probably mean police from the same section of town where the school is.
