That might be true for a regular tablet. In my experience if it's possible to use the iPad instead of my computer I will use the iPad, because the it is easier. I find myself getting really frustrated with computers and other devices because I'm used to evereything working very quickly and smoothly.

If I want to open another app it takes about 2 seconds, no matter what app I have open currently, or what app I want to open.

If I want to install a new app I just download it and it runs, no bullshit install wizards, or CD's, or downloads where I find out I have to download this other thing before the thing I am trying to install will work. It doesn't even give any evidence beyond the fact that he was killed after the documents were leaked, not even a statement by the Taliban. The only thing this article tells me is that so far they have no evidence of the Taliban successfully using the documents to find spies.

Of coarse so many documents were leaked that sooner or later the military will find someone who was killed and also mentioned somewhere in the documents. Amnesty international is making this statement so that when the inevitable happens they can avoid loosing donations.

Most slashdot readers (including me) want to appear more knowledgeable than normal computer users. In order to do that they need to have different preferences than normal computer users, and they need to have reasons for those differences that make them look smart. When Apple was an alternative to the mainstream it was cool to like Apple, because that meant you could say "I don't use windows because of xyz", now that Apple is popular those same people are looking for reasons not to use Apple.
