    We were eating at a Chilis/Bennigans-type restaurant the other day, and perched above me was an old aluminum icecube tray. Yikes, remember lifting the lever to release shattered cubes?

    Sometimes new technology is actually better (i.e. Plastic Trays & now automatic makers).

    Yeah, it began its journey to the Smithsonian a few months ago before AirAdventure up in Osh Kosh. She stopped here in Albuquerque 2 days before the show and was on display for about 5 hours. Our whole company (Eclipse Aviation) stopped by and gawked at it and took lots of photos.

    Nerd Check: We noticed on the left landing gear pod, a port for Dylithium Crystals. :)

    Hmmm, the 15 year old JVC has a demo mode (press 2 buttons at the same time) that allows the store to scroll amongst the different setup screems. The TV jumps from 'how to set brghtness' to 'how to set sleep mode'. Gotta rtfm, man.

    Gentoo's etc-update will teach you how to properly update your .config files, lest you'll have to troubleshoot your system for days. Frankly, that's the kind of learning I hate.

    "We" just need to fix etc-update so it helps and doesn't hurt.

    Gentoo's fun for desktops and experimenting stations...but I shouldn't have to do that much constant tweaking on a server. Once I switched my servers to Deb, I fear not the "apt-get upgrade"...it won't break my config files.

    You just outlined my pet peeve about Gentoo! I don't want to screw up my system after doing an 'etc-update'. Why doesn't the system have the smarts to not hose my fstab file?

    Obligatory Debian slap: I used to use Debian, but found the release cycle *entirely* too slow. :)
