i agree with you, when g4tv was just an idea floating around i knew they would make it a current day mtv for gamers. I watched the icons, that was pretty much the only show i could stand. When they did stuff on doom3, hl2, i thought they really did a great job.
I also, like you said, would love to have seen people just playing games. Whether its mp or sp, if they just did a solid hour of going thru hl1 again, that would be fantastic. See what the player did differently or find shit i never found. If the channel dies, good.
i worked with a guy that has Post Traumatic Stress disorder. Hes got a few purple hearts and has a lot of training under his belt. He told me some scary shit he went thru that nobody should go thru and then came the PTSD, its real trust me.

yeah i was surprised when i saw them use demos to review cedega. Honestly i've run bf1942 and bfnam on cedega with no problems at all. God knows how the demos run.
i agree, the ftp install was very slow. I actually never got a bootable, working version of SuSE thru the FTP install. I just got angry and paid $30 for the cds at compusa:) But now i use debian so things are cool.
initially i was the same, wasn't this book but web database management which sounds something similiar to this book. But the book started to loose its value after a while and then you just depend on mysql.com and php.net for their manuals.

yeah i agree, i'm into games and all but have no incentive to go into the gaming industry. Guess its just personal preference.
