Sadly I have not been to an IMAX movie since I was Yoda's height. Maybe now that more mainstream films are showing up there, I will make the pilgrimage (at least an hours drive).
If you skim the review about the IMAX Star Wars movie too quick like I did you may only pick up on quotes like:
"Since it was my wife's birthday today".
"Notwithstanding the overuse of colons."
"the plot still has gaping holes."
"Yoda, Wattoo and Jex Dexter stood out in close up"
"Ani and Amidala frolicking"
The company I am currently using (Directv). Has a FAQ where they encourage things like using Linux, using a router and setting up your own website. They also provide a static IP address at no additional charge.
The BIOS is a common place to enable or disable features for the CPU such as Cache or a CPU ID. It's also very commond to have a BIOS upgrade contain new features. In the past I have had BIOS upgrades that supported new features for AGP performance and memory performance.
Intel may have disabled Hyperthreading in it's current CPU's to prove out the technology first, and once they are ready a simple BIOS update may enable this feature.
I installed Mozilla 1.1 on my Win98 machine and it would crash all the time (not so often on Win2k). It got so bad that I had to remove it and install IE. I felt dirty for using IE but I had to get my daily internet fix free of crashes. I grabbed Phoenix just to check it out. It needed no install, just run it from the directory you decompress it in....
So far Phoenix has yet to crash, is "popup" free, fast and everything I wanted Mozilla to be.
Many people pay for a second phone line for their dial-up access. When you explain to them that they can get broadband for the same price as the cost of Dial-up and the cost of their second phone line they don't see the cost as an obstacle.
Plus you get the added benefit of a fast connection and the ability to share that connection among multiple computers.
Here is the link to the Pioneer statement. This is only for the new 4X DVD-R and 2X DVD-RW discs that have just been approved by the DVD Forum. AFAIK these discs are not yet for sale. You can also get a free CD with the software update on it from Pioneer.

Sounds a lot like IBM's Robocode for teaching Java.
HardOCP notes that Vans got their info from AMD so it may be a bit biased. a quote from HardOCP:
" AMD has verified to me this morning that all of the graphed and tabled data shown on the VansHardware report is data that has been mined by AMD"
"AMD is not going to supply VansHardware with information that makes Intel look good. VansHardware represents to me, nothing more than an AMD fansite that takes shots at Intel every chance they get. I think they are far from what anyone could consider objective journalist and reporters."
I to am a SysAdmin. My mind has been wandering though. I have often considered moving towards science. The pay is not my major concern more the need to be creative once again. Has anyone crossed from Computer Geek to Computer Artist and found it more fulfilling? I would like to enter a computer animation, photoshop, something-more-creative-field? Anyone have any insight into this?
Gnucleus has been a solid Gnutella client for me.
They are also working on GnucDNA a component for building your own P2P applications.
Have you ever tried to get "Mac People"and "Windows People" to integrate. They run on the same hardware yet seem totally incompatible.
Now we can install this at home to find out what our other personality is saying about us. Both of them.

Maybe for Episode III.

Mozilla 1.1 works just fine at my little Credit Union (Only 2 offices).
So if a tiny little non-profit credit union can do it, then the larger banks should have no problem.

According to this article Windows XP home and Pro already support Hyperthreading as does Linux Kernel 2.4.x and later.
ASUS has released BIOS upgrades to the P4T533 line of motherboards that now support Hyperthreading.
And rumors persist that Hyperthreading is on the current P4 chips (Socket 478?) and may be enabled at a later time if all goes well
I think a unified interface is a good idea for RedHat to create a standard look for a business desktop.
On the other hand for my personal use it's a bad idea. I like how KDE looks and so I will continue to use Mandrake.
True the image writing on the CD is mainly eye candy. But the other features that the CRW-F1 support are the reason I purchased one.

It would be funny to deliver Bill Gates his "Gene Map" with a restrictive End User License Agreement.
