I've always strongly suspect that Amazon is not PCI capable, however management here is 110% sold on the hype I needed someone very black and white from an authority to get anyone to step back and start looking at cloud hosting seriously.
Posts like this are so mind boggling, it's hard to tell if it's just sarcasm/trolling, but my gut tells me you're actually serious.
Calling them traitors and claiming they are putting troops at danger is flat out intentional ignorance. Mainly, because none of this has anything to do with our troops in Iraq. So, while it makes a great sound bite to the folks too lazy to take a moment to use their own brains to come to a conclusion, it simply makes you look like an idiot to the rest of us who bother to figure things out for ourselves.
Your "traitors" are truly hero's who are literally putting their lives on the line for the real greater good of the country, exposing massive government corruption and widespread illegal activies of those in charge.
The true traitors are those folks in power supressing the truth about their own illegal activities.
they are switching to AMD actually

"Blizzard is rumored to have purchased around 1500+ new HP servers all based on AMD Opteron 64 technology. This is most def the first time that Blizzard has purchased AMD based servers in bulk"
everyone should visit amazon and mod up those informative links as "helpful" seems strange that most of those kinds of reviews are currently all being modded down
It had an enormously successful beta but was down to a few thousand players within 6 months. I'm sure the game set all kinds of records for the fast decline in playerbase
They seemed to have almost no support after launch to fix bugs, add content, or even get the game to a state where it would have legitimately been ready to launch.
I liked the game, but it was completely unplayble for the first 3 months because they couldn't keep the chat servers up, and it had absolutely no end game at all
One of their biggest problem was that AC2 was not a sequel to AC1, they took the world and lore and made a completely different game. This of course completely aliented their existing users. Combine this with the fact that microsoft did almost no advertising at all, and there was no word of mouth advertsing due to their lack of pre-existing fan base.
The game never had a fair chance, and it probably only lasted as long as it did because they didnt' want to admit the game was a flop as they're gearing up to launch their 2 new games, Middle Earth Online and Dungeons and Dragons Online.
Still, I guess it was a good business decision on MS's part to sell it back. Though Turbines real intention was to get back the rights to their franchise.
i have fooey.net do wildcarding, so i get a few thousand spams a day just from so many people using @fooey.net as their e-mail address when they sign up for crap =\
i get virtually no spam on any of my other domains and accounts
First of all, Blizzard will never be able to keep up if they try to catch and ban each party in a transaction.
What they need to do, is go after the major sellers/sites which are selling ingame goods. And from the wording on their site, it appears that they're going to start doing just that.
I don't think Blizzard will have any problem just outright suing/prosecuting anyone they catch selling ingame items. When you think about it, sellers are really committing fraud by selling something that's not theirs to start with.
They'd only have to bankrupt a few people before it'd stop real fast, or at least go far enough underground to make it a non-issue.
The real difficulty is finding the people doing the selling, and that's where the vigilantes come in. There are always TONS of people that get a mean hardon snitching out other gamers, so all Blizzard has to do is ask the "fans" for help in protecting their game, and they'll probably get more tips than they can deal with.
the funny thing is, capitalism is based on "destroying" someone elses product and stealing their revenue
sure, it's illegal to download copyrighted media but the entertainment industry, and now the states aren't making a clear distinction between illegal downloading and vanilla peer to peer networks
copyright law alone should be enough to protect the artists, the industries infatuation with tacking on a "on the internet" to every law and patent has got to stop

Poster here:
I never asked the Amazon sales team because I never expected to get an answer like that
I wrongly assumed that by now someone would have asked, and if there was a straight forward response like this it'd be public knowledge
because we're processing several million transactions a year across dozens of merchant accounts
In capitalist America, Sony anonymous reader writes you!

I have a hard time understanding why people with kids think they should have to pay less in taxes.
A true fairtax would tax families more, since they're utilizing more public services than those who are single or don't have children.
If you're too poor to provide for your children without a tax break, don't have them in the first place.

You don't even need to mess with dns.
If your trojan has access to the users computer, you have access to their hosts file.
Typing in an address isn't a guarantee on a compromised box.
It was Microsofts fault that it flopped

hours, and hours, and hours of fun for all ages! =)

i've always considered spam/phishing/etc to be a "stupid people tax"
I've had one on order from Gateway since June that has yet to be fulfilled
guess if you can have make believe hardware sell so well, you might as well release a new version of it and sell some more

should be fun to see how well they pull it off
yup yup
google adwords suck really bad for my news site too
always out of date, and seems to pick weirdly random keywords to base all its ads on
if I was actually trying to make money, google adwords on a news site is definitely not the way to go
