How clever is that??? Send out threatening letters to all of the fresh law graduates! What's one market in the US that you don't want upset with you? Lawyers you say? Duh.
Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I meant that the pulmonary capillaries will filter the blood clot. Of course, they'll stop the blood flow, this is called a pulmonary embolism.
I didn't mean to imply that their job was to filter the clots, I meant to say that this is an effect which means you cannot have a stroke or heart attack from DVT.
DVT will not cause a heart attack nor a stroke!!! Why not? Let's trace where the blood goes.
DVT = Deep Vein thrombosis. Now blood in the veins is deoxygenated, and flows from the leg or wherever into the heart. From the heart if flows into the Pulmonary (lung circulation). To get back into the heart as oxygen rich blood, it needs to pass through a fine filter of small blood vessels called pulomonary capillaries. A blood clot is a (relatively) big thing and will not pass through this to get back into the system (main body) circulation, which could lead to a heart attack or stroke.
I actually began to edit it, but I looked through and the entire thing is glarinly innacurate. If I was going to do it, I wanted to do it right, and therefore wasn't prepared to do a brief change. There is an amount of work in fixing it, which I don't have time for at the moment.
The big problem with this is it's best feature. Accuarcy. I was just browsing the site for something that I know in a reasoable amount of depth, and came across the entry for heart attack .
It states things like "Infarct refers to the artery being plugged or clogged up", where it actually is the death of tissue cause by a lack of oxygen. Things like that restrict it's use severly. I think I'll stick with peer reviewed articles for the moment. Universities tend to have libraries full of them.
It must demoralize those poor souls at AOL, with all their child-proofing and spam and ads, that no one ever says, "I met an interesting guy and AOL'ed him."
Yeah, maybe that's cause it sounds so much like "I met an interesting guy and A-Holed him". And WTF would people think then. Except maybe for those on slashdot like say IANAL. C'mon! Is the web full of homosexual references? Arr crap, here come the troll mods. It's funny guys. I'm not really homophobic.
C'mon! OSX??? If I wasn't a poor student, I'd seriously consider switching. 12 months ago, I'd never consider saying that, but I've yet to hear a bad thing about it.
Okay, you raise a couple of good points. First I am going to have to disagree with you at a fundamental level, I believe happiness exists. Why? Because I feel happy with my life as it is.
Second, in general I also regard anyone who wants to mission with suspicion, and I agree wholeheartedly, but she doesn't act like that. When I first heard of her plans I was like you but I took the time to get to know her and she is a really genuine person, who doesn't. She freely accepts others points of view, and is prepared to listen
Finally, yes, you're right, I am not homeless, never have been. But you misinterpret me, or I didn't make myself clear enough. I suspect the later is true, I was trying to take the moral high-ground, and be holier than thou, and made a fool of myself. What I meant was that as long as I am happy money doesn't matter. Obviously if I could afford to live in a house etc, then I would be unhappy, so in that sense, you are right, I am motivated by money more than I may have implied in my first post. Where do I draw the line? Frankly I don't know. It's a grey area.
I know people who are not motivated by money, I am one of them. OK, so I'm training to be a doctor, but I give my time free to the local ambulance service, when everyone around me is saying "why don't you get paid?". I'd rather be happy than rich, which is why I'm in $20000 of debt. One of my friends wants to be a doctor to do mission work. She's not motivated by money either.
First, the panic was that it was toxic, and killing people. Turns out not to be true at all.
Not trying to troll, but I'm a little surprised by that statement. Can you please provide some evidence (preferably something that's published, or at least a website that has.edu or.gov in in) that DDT is not toxic?
But did anyone notice that only Microsoft® Products recieved a nice little ®. Does Palm / Netscape Navigator not have any trademarks??? Or is Microsoft® the only company that does?
It was a little harsh on FORTRAN really. I'd say that it's still the major programming language for scientific computing. I don't use it personally, but a lot of people I work with do.
The amino acids that the body needs are known as essential amino acids. These are one the body cannot make. They are tryptophan, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, theronine, valine leucine and isoleucine.
Shit! 99% of your work on the internet at college. Where the fuck did you go, and what did you study? None of my lecturers trust much of the internet, becuase it is so prone to misinformation, anyone can put anything there. I just did an assignment, it had 5 journal references, 1 book and 1 internet site, and I only used that because the library had closed, and it was listed as acceptable by the lecturer. Libraries are very important to me in my line of study (Medicine).
Then the [MP|RI]AA (sorry to whoever I stole that off) are just going to blame falling CD sales on digital pirates -> tougher and tougher restrictions. Can't you people see the solution? By more stuff now before it's too late. Pad these people's pockets, so they eat more and have a heart attack.
Yes, you may go and see a doctor, but what about the people who don't. They just assume what they see is correct. The analogy to a mechanic is a fair one, in that not only are doctors a database, but they have experience. You could find two diseases with similar symptoms, one serious, one not, and pick the non-serious one, and not go to the doctor.
An example of this is costochondritis and a heart attack. Costochondritis gives chest pains similar to a heart attack. What happens if the patient thinks they have one and dies.
OK it's good for those rare diseases, but it must be used correctly. The internet is already too much of a minefield of inaccuracies for medical information.
I used to love that game on my XT-10. Then we got a 386 and it was too fast. I'd like to see it now on my althon 1600. I don't think it would last very long. But yeah, a remake would be so cool.

Yeah, but try saying that. Hufuxzeroor?

Of course they didn't work. The guy's not a JEDI! You can't just pull something like that off, without years and years of training. Sheesh.
WTF Are you on about, you can have multiple users logged on to XP Home at the same time. Get your facts straight.

You need to realise that an animal model doesn't necessarily fit with the human one e.g. leptin. Moral of the story: Don't get your hopes up!
Shit, can we have metamoderaters as well, and then we can run elections like /.

Try this. I'm sure yahoo could change it into something more effective.
Heh! Didn't anyone else find this comment + sig kinda ironic?

Wait no forget that. Let's not tell anyone I said that eh?
