I understand that this is technically true -- but did you know Microsoft's security can leave some pretty nasty things -- things like cacheing all of the Word files on your computer? If one of them happens to be password protected, you click on the link and it asks for the password. But if you click on CACHED copy -- poof, there is the entire document, right there in your web browser. Whoops. Don't even get me started on cached copies of deleted files...
Microsoft's security model is pitiful -- and is only showing what is already there, true, true, all true...but still -- when it gets easy enough that someone like me can quickly and easily poke around and look at things I'm not supposed to... well, that's scary.
They use most of the benefits an average citizen uses. Hospitals, roads, police, fire, sewers and utilities. Often they are provided schools as well. They are protected by our military (of course, the same could be said for most of the world).
Read what I said more carefully, those that are working and do pay taxes should be allowed to stay and take advantage of the services offered to citizens.
However, we need to make sure their wages are being properly reported to the IRS on both thier part, and on the part unscrupulous people who knowingly hire them and pay them unlivable wages.
You are afforded basic human rights by the constitution while in our country. We don't have to let you stay in our country. If anything this move is better for immigrants than some of the other proposed solutions, because they have to be caught breaking another law, as opposed to simply having their ID broadcasting with an RF chip.
Sure, our immigration laws can be silly, but part of that is due to the fact there is no one litmus test to tell who's a productive member of society and who isn't. In my mind, we should actively be seeking out illegals who are working in this country not to deport them, but to grant them visas and begin collecting taxes from them. I know, it's simplistic given the wages many of them earn, but I have a hard time divorcing the right to live in the USA with the responsibility to pay taxes. I guess I believe in "pay to play".
Actually she came with a fairly short list of exclusive cases: Better/worse, richer/poorer, sickness/health. My understanding is it's fairly boilerplate in the industry.
Mine has glitches too. Most of her permissions are all set to user only, even though I'm in her group. Her interfaces are nonintuitive - half the time I end up turning her off by accident. I guess I should be glad she doesn't have world permissions enabled by default, like some people's models. My biggest complaint though, is that her volume control is broken, but that didn't show up until AFTER I married her.
Don't worry, I didn't pick improper spelling in the pet peeve poll. The art of proper language usage and the fundamentals of spelling aren't as closely entertwined as some like to think.
Don't appologize. It's not your fault you were using slang that actually does mean what you were trying to convey. I'm assuming didn't actually speak to the device, correct?
So in other words, you inclined to feel as though the machince should be telling you. Or perhaps your feelings could be described as resembling the emotions that sentence expressed. I think you'll find that's what the word like means, regardless of whether that's an encouraged sentence structure.
If you feel I'm wrong, explain to me what's fundamentally different about the following sentences, besides using a sentence to describe the feeling instead of direct simile:
I was like a cloud. It was like a state of total weightlessness. It made me feel like I buzzing around. I was like, "Wow, I'm a cloud".
Or, like me, you just don't record those shows, and instead watch shows on other channels entirely, and record the reruns of their shows.
I think this will probably hurt them in the long run, because it works both ways. If I can't catch the first couple minutes of their show, I'm much less likely to switch TO their station as well. By the time ABC underruns 2 minutes and CBS overruns 2 minutes, I've missed too much to care and I'll go back to shows I recorded at 3 AM on Sunday.
This may shock you, but it's not all about you. While I'm unable to comment about the particulars of THIS case, there's lots of information that comes up in court that's none of anyone's damn business but the parties involved.
That's why I, for one, paid $55 each for my Leather bound Tolkien Classic series from Easton Press. They are beautiful, and they make the reading experience more pleasant. The feel and smell of thick pages and rich binding make the whole thing more engrossing.
The comparisons to Lucas aren't fair. Jackson made a reduced slightly less satisfying version of the film for the theatres to show and the full on artistic vision for the fans. The whole time he said in advance there'd be the long version and the full version. Personally, I only get the extended box sets, so all three won't look garish and plasticy next to my books.
And 9mm make smaller holes than howitzers. That doesn't mean they aren't sufficient for many tasks.
I've never actually gotten the chance to speak with a scientist that works with stem cells, although I've read several journals on the topic. In my layman's view, it doesn't seem like the technology is entirely mutually exclusive. If we haven't taken the "less adaptable" version as far as we think they can go, why is there the push for taking the controversial part farther.
What's the difference/advantage of using a socks proxy as opposed to a regular http proxy?
Currently, I've got PuTTY set with L8080->localhost:8181 with squid running on my home machine listening on 8181, which is closed to the outside. Firefox has localhost:8080 set in the proxy settings. Is switching to dynamic or SOCKS better in anyway?
In addition, you have to be sure that you've taken into account unusual parts of the simulation. In this case, the car modified to raise Kennedy slightly up and the man in the front passenger seat was leaning down and back. While it's a small detail, it was entirely overlooked by such movies as "JFK" and it goes from needing a weird ricochet to hit Connally to putting him right in the line of fire. Consider: Interior Shot
Does great is loosely defined. I should have said, moves a lot of music. If they got out of the RIAA fee they'd be making money hand over fist, which is why it surprises me they don't do more to push the independent labels.
Also, it concerns me when you use the phrase "read numerous times here on Slashdot" as if that was a good source of accuracy! I hope you mean, read in reliable linked articles!
Perhaps, but keep in mind part of the cost of HBO is the size of their consumer base, and the cost of the movies they pay for.
Just for fun, I decided to figure out what my "paid tv" might be worth to me 1002 WLFL (WB) $3 1003 WRAL (CBS) $3 1004 WUNC North Carolina Public TV (Free) 1006 | WNCN (NBC) $3 1013 | WRAZ (FOX) $3 1025 | USA Network $5 1030 | The Discovery Channel $5 1033 | Lifetime $5 1035 | Discovery Health $5 1036 | Comedy Central $5 1039 | The Learning Channel $5 1040 | SPIKE TV $5 1048 | VH1 - Video Hits One $7 1049 | Sci-Fi Channel $7 1053 | MTV - Music Television $7 1056 | The History Channel $5 1062 | E! Entertainment Television $5 1071 | FX Networks Inc. $5 1077 | Home & Garden Television $5 1078 | Food Network $7
Using arbitrary numbers from my own head 4 "Basic" = $12 10 "Special interest" = $50 4 "Premium" = $28
$90 is what I'm basically willing to pay for higher quality commercial free TV, if it was offered. With economies of scale, they could probably drop those numbers to be what I'm paying now. I think the real reason it won't happen is because some people only get cable for a few channels, so I'm forced to pay for some guys Golf channel while they get stuck with my FX bill
Agreed, it's more like a UNC, Duke, and NCSU putting together a basketball team for a friendly game against a U of M, Michigan State, Ohio State squad.
Quickbooks there is an alternative for, gnucash. Quicken, not so much.
Rewritten:

You would if you had read the article. Or maybe you have an entirely different disorder.
See, in Everquest we tend to go with "Damn idiot". I guess petitions and bannings really do work...

A large percentage of the illegals people are getting worked up about are getting paid in cash almost unlivable salaries. This is part of the problem.

Leave Kissinger out of this, he hasn't caused trouble for a while now!

You could submit a patch to http://www.mythtv.org/.
And why wouldn't we?
It's all about the joy of owning it right?

So is that link implying that visiting benedelman.org to read the website can install tons of spyware? Good thing I didn't RTFA.
Where's the mod for plus 2,323,123,102 (I Love You) when you need it?
