Gives new meaning the saying "Open a can 'o whoop ass!" :-)

No, no, no.... the Rosie O'Donnel P0rn fan club would be going too far...

*Shivers* Gah, good thing I'm not that evil. :-)

  3. Buy a computer like you would buy a car on When to Buy Technology Goods? · · Score: 2, Funny

You should purchase your computer like you would buy a car. They say that you should buy a car after it's been used for 2-4 years because that way the price has depreciated the most that it ever will.

Thus I'm currently surfing the web on a trusty 486. Can you believe that it only cost me a mere 25 cents!?!?! And this post has only taken me a mere half an hour to do. Now that's using your money wisely! ;-)

Wouldn't that also mean that under the new legislation that they are proposing that they would have to DoS themselves? :-)

Apparently the RIAA hasn't heard of this cool technology called "multitasking". :-)
  6. For the Canadians Out There.... on Home-Built vs. Store-Bought PCs · · Score: 1

Check out www.ncix.com. So far I've been very pleased with them and unlike most other sites, they are located in Canada so you don't get nailed with $40US of international shipping and another 40% for duty.

    Check it out eh! :-)

  7. Not A Chance on Is it Wrong to Accept an Employment Counter-Offer? · · Score: 1

It's an insult if you take the offer. The company obviously believes that you are worth the extra money which is why they extending the counter-offer. But the question is: If you were worth that amount of money to begin with, then why weren't they paying you that amount? If they really wanted to keep you, then they should have been paying you what you were worth to begin with, not wait for you to go off looking and find out what you are really worth and then try to make it up to you.

If I were you, I'd be out of there in a second. You've got a chance to make a fresh start earning what you are worth. You won't have any problems with questions of loyalty and you won't be passed over for raises in the near future because you didn't just get a 50% "raise".

    Good luck! :-)

  8. Keep it real or don't. Don't go halfway.... on Command and Conquer Generals · · Score: 2, Interesting

I've been a fan of C&C games since the start, but I was slightly disappointed with Red Alert 2. Here you have a great game with great units until you can start building mind controlled dolphins and squids! I'm sorry but I'm surprised that the developer that created these units didn't get laughed out of the design meeting. The secret is, either keep the game moderatedly realistic, or don't. The first C&C game was great because most of the units were realistic, and then there were a couple of units that were just a little far fetched (cloking tank, Ion cannon). Instead of using these so called fantasy units, why don't they focus on some new weapons that we might actually see in the future? For example: Star Wars, Missle Defence, etc. But I also enjoy the so called "fantasy" games like Starcraft, but here they didn't incorporate any realisim into the game. So Westwood, please do us a favor and do one or the other, but don't do both!
