my $.02 is that from the data I have collected, the low power consumption G5 may not really more powerful than G4+, especially the new 7448.
I am not an expert on the performance issue. If you think I am wrong, let me know. Because I am also trying to figure out which one is better.
But if you are looking for something like 64bit mobile computing, wait for pbook G5.
We are all thinking it is still a desktop computer, but actually it is not. Maybe we can call it a "mini desktop", as if we call a dodge caravan a "mini van".
When caravan first arrived, people said "it is not large enough." And aparently, a caravan won't hold 10 or more people, and the idea of caravan is very succesful, and we shouldn't have used the standard of van to look at a mini van.
So the same idea apply to Mac mini, it is not a desktop computer anymore, so we need t think different.
BTW, didn't this happened many times? When the PC arrived, people said, "not power enough". When the notebook arrived, people said, "not power enough, can not insert my isa cards and pricy". When iPod arrived, people said, "who will bring this piece of brick around?"
google may want to establish browser based applications eventually. The gmail, google suggest and blogspot are examples of browser based applications.
Some people may want to say, "Ah... the javascript is so slow!" But if we can run perl on a headless server and handle thousands or even millions of request per day, why can't we run javascript applications on client side efficiently?
But what the advantage? The advantage is easy management and share of data. Instead of store files on different computers, data could be stored on several servers, protected and backuped by professional operators. Users use the data tranparently via the Internet.
Google will run thousands of servers, and sell the computing and storage power on the server side. Also, google will use their search engine to search different "functions" provided by different "application providers", just as they are search "information" provided by different "content providers" now.
As format of document files and vector graphs, xml with the help of CSS and javascript of course.
But there is a problem here. The support of this sort of "high technology" on the browser used by most people is lamed. So to facilitate the adoption of high level technology, google will bring the browser war on again.
After this war, the rich function web application may become easier for web developers, but learning curves will become harder.
If the days of browser based computing come eventually, desktop is not big business anymore, server will become the center again.
Once upon a time, a Windows guy saw I pushed F9 button and screamed, "God d*** it, I should have one." They won't understand untill they are eXPerienced.
They go through windows all the time, and they can NOT believe doors are easier for people to get in and out.
I hate to repeat, but I still have a PowerMac G3 blue and white, 350MHz, feeling groovy.
And I also have a G4 1G, looks even slower than the Mac mini.
If the mini cooper has 5-ton towing power

I will buy one, or two, ah..., maybe twenty. By the way, I have a Powermac G3 blue and white on my desk, we only upgraded hard drive and RAM. And it works great with Panther. I really don't think you need to upgrade video card and sound card if you are not a gamer.
There are many dangerous stuff in these computers, no matter it is intel/AMD based or a Mac. So please recycle them. If there is no such a requirement at your place, please have this idea in our mind. Maybe 5 years later, it will become a law.
We are running it as a web server + jsp + mysql, but I also browse web with firefox on it. It works pretty well. I am not sure what kind of graphics card it is using. But the fact it is old is important.
And looks more powerful than my G4 Mirror Door 1G. Oh, wait a minute, there is no mirror on the box, how can I raze my beard every morning? Use the CDR? Maybe.
Can they make it a little quicker? We know that the extensions and UI are heavily rely on javascript, so if we can make the jsengine run a little bit quicker, mozilla/firefox and gain a lot.

netcraft thinks it is on. So there must be something wrong with netcraft.com

Is there any chance that we can use him as the other example?
So the second example is not really related with the common entity of China.
XML + CSS?

I'd like to buy some stock of keyboard makers, and give up programming. I am going to be rich quicker.
fantastic!
Can those guys be more creative? like "adult site for girls", "account of phishing website", "spammers' email address list". This trick is too boring.
I think the Irag news guy has been working for MS for years, as a result, his English was pretty good.
And the javascript is extreme slooowwwwww.....

several questions jumped in my mind.
Don't they store information in CDATA mode, if they use xml?
Don't they encode those Does POP access affected?
If not...I won't try.

try the latest mozilla1.8alpha or latest firefox trunk builds please. or see more about https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=21752 7
please copy and paste the link, because direct link from slashdot to bugzilla is forbidden.
And I switch it from left hand to right hand and back in maybe every hour. And it works exactly the same in my both hands.
BEFORE: How comes there is no...
AFTER: Why we need...
I think there should be some questions to ask before we get those ActiveX stuff zooming around.
question 1, why should I trust them?
question 2, why should they trust me?
question 3, would they like to look into my computer?
