In Costco there are apples from Chile, cucumbers from Canada, kiwis from New Zealand, dates from Isreal, bell chili peppers from Mexico, wine from Europe...
The farmer was not sentenced to death, he was sentenced life in jail. The charge was that farmer evaded 3.8 million Yuan (~$600,000) in toll by dressing in fake military uniform and putting fake military license plates on his truck. Apparently pretending to be a military personnel is illegal everywhere I know. And apparently the Chinese highway toll is freaking high.
There is a minimum wage law in China. The minimal wage required by law at Foxconn's Guangdong is a little bit less than $2 per hour, and the minimal wage at Chengdu plant is about $1 per hour.
Chinese online banking systems are heavily relying on ActiveX because of the same reason of South Korea. So every time I recommended some one in China use non IE browsers, they would say "Duh, not working with my bank..."
The boat has returned to Tokyo port and very low level radioactivity was detected. It should be note that there may not be any correlation between the radiation on the boat and the damaged nuclear reactor.
I think it is lost in translation or that Aussie news website is spreading FUD. The Chinese news I read has information like this
1, Two tourists, one 70 years old the other one is 77 years old, were found radioactive March 23. Both were from places far away from Fukushima Daiichi site.
2, The 77 years old showed strong but harmless radioactivity. The other one had less radioactivity.
3, Both were sent to hospital at March 23:15.
4, The 77 years old took a hot water shower in hospital.
5, The 70 years old did nothing but sleep.
6, Both left hospital at March 24 00:20am with their own clothes.
I bought CDs, now I buy from iTunes, and I pay Pandora to listen without ad, and money goes to the musicians I like. In the future I pay $10 per month and I can stop buying from iTunes and stop paying pandora and my money goes to... whoville. It sounds more like loose loose loose to me.

I know a X-ray scientist (Ph. D.) who thinks evolution theory is wrong, because there are too many things evolution theory can not explain. And even I agree that species are changing over time, he believe that's because god is changing them. He also believe BP didn't do much damage to Mexico gulf, because most of the oil can be dissolved or dispersed in water. And I don't talk to him much and I tried not to argue with him.
I don't know where did you pull these numbers, but your number were way tooooooooo old.
My number are like this 70 Su-27, ~200 Su-30/J11, ~500 J7/mig-21, 200 J-10, 200 J-8, 200 FB-7 bomber, 100 H-6/Tu16 bomber, 500 Q-5 attacker, 200 L-11/K8 trainer. All J-6/Mig-19 are retired, J-7/Mig-21 are not manufactured anymore and in the progress of being replaced by J-10.
A video of the new J-20 is available at here on youtube, and the J-10 fighter is the yellow one took off before the black J-20.
Funny. I love the shadow.
And Soviet Russia...

Ever wrote something in Perl?
Technically I don't see how this is different from the way my Fedora box upgrades. Could you explain the difference please?
If you teach kids swimming, they will not drown in the future.
And if you don't like China, welcome to Brazil!
Look for a book called "The Coming Collapse of China" by Gordon G. Chang to see how China has collapsed in 2006.

"One interesting fact about China is that its current average age is 40, so in twenty years it will be 60. "
This is interesting indeed. In two years, I am going to be as old as my elder brother. This makes me happy.

Generally, Beta is when a product is mostly feature complete. When bugs are being fixed prior to release, it is called RC.
Your choice is at Preferences->Advanced->Update.
Why don't you fire a new bug about this at bugzilla?
Shouldn't it be the contribution he/she makes to the organization?
You don't really need "/", just type what you want to search, as long as the cursor is not in some sort of input thingy.
IBM sold its PC business some time later, what will Google do if history really repeats itself?
