    I consider this very Funny. Just for one example, if they stop making general-purpose computers, there won't be any more really skilled programmers, since they usually get their start by messing around with stuff. They can't teach stuff like curiosity in schools. And there are a lot of billions of dollars that would be opposed to anything like that.

    IIRC, gaim is included by default in most distros, making IM easier on linux than under windows.

    Even better, they could add a javascript that sends them back information on which links you clicked. Harder to bot than the existing system, and if you don't like them watching what you click, there's always copy/paste.

    If i understand correctly, it's tied to a specific version of the kernel, so it'll be outdated pretty quickly, and all but useless.

    Not exactly hard?! At 24 fps, there are 24*60*60=86400 frames per hour of film. That's not what i would refer to as "not exactly hard".
