    Actually, the latest builds are significantly faster - I recently tried it out, and was surprised to have it working at about dial-up speeds within 15 minutes.

    You laugh, but porn sites often have the worst of the popups, etc. If your browser can safely navigate a porn site, it can go anywhere.

    Actually, Longhorn will include a time machine emulated in software, so that you can download your new computer from the future. That's why the requirements are so high.

    But why does Linux want Joe Average using it? Joe Average probably won't contribute anything to Linux, except complaints. As i've said before, i think Linux and FOSS in general should leave Joe Average to large corporations with the resources to deal with them. Linux is really targeted towards programmers and other power users, who want or need the added functionality enough to learn it.

    Well, my record has to be a friend of mine(name withheld to protect the innocent), who had so much spyware installed that just getting to a desktop was a 50/50 chance, much less actually running something as big as a browser. Eventually, they just used a mac. :)
