Editing the HTML sounds like the best option to me. If its all layed out in tables just exchange some TDs with some TRs and it would work fine.
Too bad there isn't a built in way to do it though... But from a programming standpoint it doesn't seem like it should be too hard to in software just rotate the whole page 90 degrees and send it to the printer.
Yeah, I seem to remember a friend of mine talking about a P4 2ghz "laptop" which had all these bells and whistles for $800 then he noticed that the thing didn't have a battery or anyway of attaching one. Really kinda weird.
I guess this laptop would be good for playing battle ship or checkers or something like that.
Yeah, I figured I wasn't the first person to think about a slashdot cache. After all it seems like it would be a pretty simple functionality to add and make slashdot much more useable. But the searching I did shows that many people before me have complained about it. Its in the faq and basically nobody wants to do it.
Why anyone would call a computer a laptop when its battery most likely won't last more than an hour, weights 20lbs and has a 17" screen on it is beyond me.
Oh and another thing, the site is pretty much/.ed allready.
Does anyone else thing that a cacheing system similar to google's google cache would be a good idea? I certainly do.
Two little screens are really not anywhere near as good as one big one. Especially on that thing. Sure it folds up and fits into your wallet or whatever. This is some seriously wacked out stuff.
I think that I would be willing to pay for slashdot if it bettered the signal to noise ratio in the forums. And removing the banner ads wouldn't be bad either except that I've been pretty well trained to ignore animated gifs. In fact if a site uses animated gifs and its NOT a banner ad I usually find myself ignoring them as well.
...that will play digital music in various formats on any of the tens of millions of Game Boy game consoles worldwide.
Thats news to me.

I don't see any reason why one country's citizens should be responsible for following the laws of another country if they're in their home country.
Domain names WANT to be free!
Maybe this will help me be able to keep from missing the cue ball so often.
Are there any other internet email protocols out there that solve the spam problem that have any kind of chance of gaining popularity?
