Locking the task bar is indeed a handy feature, but what I don't like is if you want just a few icons next to the start button, but you want to get all the space, when you lock the task bar there is wasted space so you have to unlock is and slide it in till the last icon is hidden a bit then lock it and if the icon doesn't pop out you have to "schooch" the divider out a little again. Very annoying, especially when programs add extra icons down there.
I like it for commands now. Thats nice. I was worried that if I used it for a url that it would open IE but if Firefox is your default browser its opens urls in firefox.
I also use a couple batch files to simulate the ssh and telnet command with putty:
ssh.bat: start " " "c:\putty.exe -ssh %1
telnet.bat: start " " "c:\putty.exe -telnet %1
put those bat files somehwere in the path and you're set.:)
Actually in Mac OS X you can customize and remap hotkeys for any app. For example in firefox there are no hot keys to toggle the bookmarkbar or the navigation bar, you can go into the keyboard control panel and make hot keys for that.
Oh, and for OSX you have: F11 Slide all windows off the screen F9 Tile all open windows. Then brings one to the front when you click it. F10 Tile all windows for a particular app.
Another nice thing OS X lets you do is: [CMD] + ` This switches between windows of the current application.
if you first do [CMD] + [tab] then do [CMD] + ` it switches the other direction, which is far better than [alt] + [shift] + [tab]
Daily watering is bad, the best way to water your yard is to give it a deep soaking ever week or two. Watering daily stunts the root system of the grass and propetuates the dependance of daily watering.
Easy enough for you to say. I could easily look it up somewhere. I was really just thinking out loud, and I should have continued my thought to say that IIRC it has something to do with the tilt of the earth and I wonder if that information would need to be taken into account too.
Its a good thing that I'm soo indignant to the fact that WoW and most mmorpgs have a monthly fee. Otherwise I'd probably be hopelessly strung out on it. I'm still trying to get over my Starcraft Addiction.

Dude its just a story. I suppose we shouldn't read our children bed time stories. Most children pick up on the whole christmas thing really quick. I suspect that the only kids traumatized are the ones who have parents who take it too far.
I remember seeing santa at the mall and in front of stores ringing bells and on tv when I was little. Its just obviously pretend and kids know what pretend is, they do it all day long. In fact kids get worried that their parents don't know when things are pretend.
Linux distros specifically for Apple hardware should work really well since Apple's got a lot less hardware that you need to worry about being compatable with. That said, I can't get audio working on my 6500:/
They sell socks http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPLE/WebObjects/A ppleStore?productLearnMore=M9720G/A
Or maybe you should reconsider your assumption that we're all so bad off.
So problem I would have probably done the same.
Crap. Musta replied to the wrong post. Sorry.

Thats cool. [win]+[r] isn't too bad though.

Um try again, you can do that in windows 2000 heck even windows 98.
There is a tool called dl-color that lets you view small icons on the desktop or tiles if you swing that way.
Wow, I have to say, that is the best thing I've read all day.

Heh, never thought of that. Good point.
Which reminds me, why is it that when the earth is closer to the sun its winter (at least in the US)?
Duh University.

Hmm, I bet most westerners don't do a lot of correspondence with China, might be safe for a lot of people to just block the whole country.
And here I thought that Firefox was the streamlined mini browser of choice.
How long before all the geeks are using Minimo and proclaiming firefox as bloatware?
Heh, they could make an assistive technology version called the noEyesPod.
Why not just get them all iPods?
I for one welcome our two wheeled... Oh never mind.
