The monsters were scarier in the 1980s though - or was that because I was much younger? The monsters were much, much scarier in the 1960's - or is that because I'm older?
Not a US taxpayer so excuse the question.
I'm assuming the tax year ends December 31st and filing deadline is April 18th?
DO you get any special dispensation if you have your taxes done on your behalf by an accountant/tax agent?
Here (Australia), tax year ends June 30th and returns must be in by October 31st. If your tax return is submitted by an accountant/tax agent, you have until May 31st the following year.
Anyone who was running the (almost) open source Bigbrother would be better of moving to hobbit http://hobbitmon.sourceforge.net/
It monitors everything I want in Linux and Windows systems and can support SNMP
I can't think of anyone likely to call/text me that is so important that I risk my life, and the lives of others. to answer the fucking phone!
They can wait till I get where I'm going.
Actually, at least one of the complaints was that a child of that age should be in an approved child car restraint, not a standard seatbelt.
Given the press on this, I'd say it was a successful advertising campaign.
I remember it well. I used to work for Tandy when they started to sell the TRS-80 in Australia
One of my jobs used to be to go to Dick Smith and buy what ever computer there were selling at the time
to find out how it compared to the Tandy product.
The protests were good advertising for both parties.
Ah yes! I remember the good old days at Radio Shack (Tandy) when, prior to the first
release of Windows, they used to run a full page ad with Bill Gates telling the world that in developing an advanced operating system like Windows (his words, not mine), MS had to rely on the Tandy 2000 the most powerful MS-DOS system available.
They've fallen a long way from the days when the stock price used go upwards.
I'd certainly be pissed off if I'd just paid $1400 for GSX only to be told this week it's free.
I've been paying for regular updates to VMWorkstation over the years, does this mean I can stop and just use the free products?
That said, it's still worth the money I've been paying.

This is only slightly above the 'Letters to the Editor' section and we all know what sort of crazies ideas you get there!
Prompted me to dig out some of those old Unix mags.
I didn't find many ads with prices but I did find an article by one William Gates regarding the virtues of Xenix and how it was going to drive his company into the future.
Wonder what happened to him?
I doubt vey much that you'd get booked for doing a single kilometer/hour over the limit even in a 40 kph zone. You'd need to be doing 5 kph or more over the limit before you get a ticket.
I can't comment on the article's reliability but the Bigpond AUP states that more than 20 electronic messages in a 10 minute period is SPAM. Electonic messages include email, fax,SNS or ICQ
Slightly off topic but what is the age of majority as it would apply to this new law?
In Oz (at least in my state), such classification of video games has been in place since 1995.
There are various categories, the most restrictive being MA15+ meaning mature adults over 15. As long as you are over 15, you can buy whichever game you like.
I think the biggest technical advance that has affected my sports experience is the TV remote control. Now any time anything resembling sports appears on TV, I can change channels WITHOUT GETTING UP!
We're a land of convicts, we don't buy reviews, we steal them!

And here of course. News so good, they repeat it.
As it's in writing, it's libel. Slander is only for spoken words.

Seems much more civilised.

If I had to go through life known as Frosty, I too would have a strange view of reality.
Western Australia does exist, it's just that there is no life there.
"It's like expecting Michael Faraday at the turn of the 1900s to suddenly invent integrated circuits"
What, like 33 years after his death?
OMG zombie scientists!

THat's 40,000 seats not 4,000.
Makes a big difference on the cost per seat per year.
Remember it well It also had an optional colour printer - actually a 4 pen plotter. Made by Sharp for Tandy.
What an insult to Australians being considered culturally similar to the United States!
