If the headline would have read "Appple Patches Sendmail Bug", would that have been ok with you? It is news - people do need to know about it. The patch needs to be applied.
Do you simply have a problem with the word "quickly"? Or, do you think it was not worthy of posting anything about it?
"As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances, there is a twilight when everything remains seemingly unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all must be most aware of change in the air - however slight - lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness." Justice William O. Douglas
Why is it that anyone who uses an OS other than Windows is a zealot? Does differing from the mainstream make you a zealot? Are there Microsoft zealots?
Macs have Real player and Windows Media Player, so why is Movielink concerned with Quicktime? All they would need to do is provide content in Real or WIMP formats for the Mac users as they do for the pc users. Would save them one step plus Real and Microsoft would be rather pleased as Quicktime would not be promoted. .
I'm sure it's not just an attempt to adjust Apple's attitude toward DRM... they wouldn't do that would they?
Apple wasn't selling those ads in Sherlock. When Apple first introduced Sherlock, the search engine people were upset because people would get search results and not the ads that they depend on for revenue. So, Apple put the ads in so that the search engines could send their ads to users.
Too bad that Sim City will most likely be available for only Windows. Perhaps if we are lucky, maybe a port to the Mac in a couple of years. Linux? Forget about it.
Sim City started on the Mac, but it did not take Maxis long to abandon it's roots.
Surely some groups in Microsoft have the skill to create a good abstract browser API. They choose not to use these skills, but perhaps if Microsoft were split up and forced to compete against itself, such a thing would be born.
Microsoft has clearly admitted that they created DLL hell for marketing purposes. They basically said that, "some of Windows interlocking code benefits Microsoft commercially and does not have a clear technical reason to be commingled."
That admission seems to be key to the trial. It seems to prove that a modular windows is possible and that they chose to create a non-modular windows to support their monopoly.
It's all about the costs and he has the costs wrong. I emailed him about his errors and his response was, "Yeah, I dicked that one up, sorry;)."
Yet, the article still has the errors. The SuperDrive is DVDR... not just DVD. Big difference.. and if you put DVDR in the Dell (Dell only offers DVDRW for $450.00 more), the cost is about the same as the Mac.

... something that Bill Gates did first!
Look at how well BE OS did in the consumer Wintel space. Im sure MS would love to see Apple have the same success.
Thats the law in SC. They ask you for it on your income tax form.
Typical reply from a W lover. Bush pardons should be interesting.
PS: Clinton is no longer the president.
How does one "make a punch" to a web site?

I had no problems at all.
1. Ran SW update.
2. "You must reboot", OK.
It rebooted.. there was no step 3.
Linux users like ugly.. thats why they always try to imitate Windows.
The desktop background images on these screenshots is from Apple. I have the same one as my osx desktop image now.

A slower tool of higher quality can still get the job done faster.
Of course, "of higher quality" is rather subjective.

"I think use of the word "transition" illustrates the pipe dream that Apple has: UNIX users will leave UNIX in droves to commit to using Mac OS X. "
This pipe dream is obvious in the Switch Ads... they clearly could care less about Windows users and are after the huge linux desktop marketshare.
Revenue stream from Linux users? That's funny.
Why develop for Linux when you KNOW the users will refuse to pay and raise hell all over the place about it not being free?

Lets hope its months and not years.

#### case insensitive completion
set complete = enhance
Now you dont have to worry about case with tab completion.

My G4 is currently at 24 days. 5 reboots a year might be more accurate.
The dock also has the iTunes popup window popped up as if the user is about to start playing an mp3 while doing everything else.

I have hardwood floors in my house. I imagine my neighbor won't be very pleased if it works with my floor.
