    The problem is, I just bought a Hershey bar at the store for 99 cents. If it had been 2 or 3 dollars, I would not have even reached for it.

    There is no political will to raise gas taxes. Hell, liberal Massachusetts just voted to decouple their gas tax from inflation, and the Democratic-dominated state government dare not speak the word tax even though none of them will ever face a credible reelection threat. Besides, raising the gas tax means that some of the magic fairies that go out after midnight and fill potholes and repair bridges will have to be let go. Why do you hate them so?

    Imagine how we must look from their perspective. Like gods peering down on them from the heavens with magical devices that grant us powers. Can you imagine if we as a people encountered beings who were just as advanced from us as we are from those tribes. Hell even a mere 100 years of progress would seem miraculous to us to say nothing of eons. Imagine how we would look to someone from 1914.

    When cable rolled out those hypothetical 500 channels, it seemed that there might be all kind of niche programming available. Unfortunately, every one of those 500 channels ended up chasing the same demographic after learning the financial meaning of 'niche'.

    Advice columnists will always tell the writer who wants to know if she should encourage her boyfriend to leave his wife: if he will cheat on her, what makes you think he won't cheat on you? He's already proven to be a cheater.

    I would not want to hire someone willing to sell out the IP of their last employer. How can I trust this person with my IP?
