but cars & trucks are being sold at the clip of ~17M/year these days in the US. That investment is not going to disappear overnight. Same with petrol vehicles vs. battery powered. I think self-driving is a great idea, but things like construction zones, weather events, downed trees, nearby idiots make me always want to have the ability to drive myself.
