I retrieved 56MB of data for a company from a crashed windows server they hadn't backed up. Windows was so badly corrupted it would lock up even in Safe Mode and the Windows installation disk didn't have the tools to fix it. I used Suse Live 9.0 to boot the machine and burn the data with my USB DVD drive. Then I reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled windows. It took a couple of hours and they knocked $300 off the price of their service vehicle I was buying because they were liquidating.
I gave them the Suse Live disk to keep and made them promise to try it.
I had incessant problems with my Roger's Cablesystems cable modem connection when it was new. I ruled out everything at my end so it had to be with the cable companies setup. Tech support kept insisting it could not possibly be their equipment. I demanded to know specifically why the problem couldn't possibly be with their equipment and they said, "Because it is managements position that there is no possibility of there ever being any problem with any of their equipment ever." Armed with that gem I wrote to management flaming them royally and gave them to the end of the week to solve the problem or I was getting a DSL line instead. The next day the problem disappeared and the manager wrote me saying they could not find a problem with my connection. Strange coincidence I guess.
I didn't want to pay royalties to Rambus either so I never bought RDRAM. Let this be a lesson: If you promote a technology as a standard without telling anyone you have a patent on it, don't be surprised if noone buys your product.
Why not develope a free open source version of the WMA codec and let users download it if they buy music in that format. If sued, argue that the user must have also bought the right to listen to the music when she bought the copy of the music, so she should not be obliged to pay again to listen to it.
Osama Bin Laden said after 9/11 that he wanted to destroy the freedoms that Americans enjoy. G.W. Bush is working as hard and fast as he can to fulfill Osama's every wish!
Who is the real terrorist?
This is wrong on so many levels only the Bush administration is capable of masterminding it! Of course a better way of finding out where the homeless are staying would be to give them homes!
Wouldn't the same reasoning apply to gardens. You're growing flowers for free instead of buying them and paying the tax. So flower gardens would have to be taxable. Vegetable gardens too if you're growing stuff that they can call a convenience food.
He looks sleazy, like he thinks everyone wants to suck his not chicken. Arogant and obnoxious probably go hand in hand with the anally retentive beard trim.
Maha makes a great charger and Ray-o-vac has come out with a similar one. Each battery is independently charged on it's own circuit so it is never overcharged. Great gift for someone with lots of toys!
Start your own Linux distribution. It won't make money but you'll learn a lot, have fun and develop marketable skills. See www.linuxfromscratch.org for instructions.
The good side of this development is that once people try open source for the price, they'll stay for the freedom. Ultimately this kind of action by Microsoft will be it's own death knell.
Upper management doesn't want to be bothered with petty bickering in the lower echelons, they have their own backstabbing to worry about. They want to hear what overall strategies would lead to greater efficiency throughout the organization. That is how your ideas should be framed.
They just keep coming around like flies to feces!

That would be one way Google could pressure other companies to follow suit. If you don't show up on Google, you don't show up anywhere!
It's free so you don't have to steal it.

No one is going to buy into their next platform anyway, so who cares about interoperability with Windows?
Next they'll patent function returns!

I'm sure it does. I guess I'll have to wait till they accuse me of attempting to take control of the world, again.

Maybe IBM should claim these people are putting linux derivative code in Windows and sue for 50 Billion $!!!!
Suse Linux 9.0 had features backported from the 2.6 kernel so what are they complaining about?

Demonstrate to him that he can do more cooperating with other people than he can by himself. Then he will have a reason to want to change.

Maybe Bill isn't shooting blanks (didn't he successfully mate with something?) but his OS sure is!!!!!
Microsoft is already irrelevant, they just can't see it yet, probably because of the blue screen.

and you don't want to listen, your relationship is already over.

Should I ask why you need radiation sheilding in your home? Does anyone else have a Gone Fission mail order nuclear reactor?
