I vote almost every single time, with the exception of some school board elections that I've missed, but if voting became mandatory, I think I'd refuse out of protest. It's just as wrong to force someone to vote as it is to prevent someone from voting.

I would rather have None of the Above on the ballot, and if that option got the most votes, there would have to be another election, with the previous candidates ineligible.
So I'm curious where this backlog of awesome games are, or what you mean by awesome games, because right now, I can't think of any. But I'd like to know of any that might be worth my heading out and getting a PS4. I make occasional pop-ins at Gamestop to see the new releases, but so far nothing is tempting.
One new-ish game I got was Middle Earth: Shadows of Mordor. It's pretty fun, but make sure to get the PS4 version. I have the PS3 version, so it has laggy transitions. It will pause for a minute to load a 3 second cut scene, then pause another minute after that plays another 3 second cut scene, then pause another minute to switch back to the game. From what I understand, the PS4 doesn't have that issue at all. Watch Dogs was pretty fun, and I guess the PS4 version of that is even better, especially when it comes to the driving portion of the game. Dying Light is supposed to be pretty good if you're not tired of the whole zombie apocalypse thing.
Paying $900 for a phone that will last for two years - not for me!
I had my iPhone 4 for 4 years and it still worked perfectly well when I traded it in for my iPhone 6+. The only reason I upgraded was that I needed the phone to be able to run the most current OS for development purposes. The good trade-in prices on the iPhone 4 were an added incentive. I had considered handing it down to my wife, but ended up getting her a Samsung Galaxy Centra from Tracfone, since we didn't want 2 phones on the same plan for the outrageous costs. As soon as I finish with my contract, I'm going to move my iPhone to Tracfone as well.

Of course, they didn't have Opera, so I downloaded that, which I guess shows some initiative. But I only use Opera, Firefox & Explorer for testing code, Chrome is my main browser on the PC. On my MacBook Pro, I've downloaded FireFox & Chrome, but use Safari almost exclusively since I prefer the reader function that Safari has. I use Chrome if I want to check my work mail at home or on the road, and that's about it.

I use Google's search engine and Facebook, but I don't have to. There are a ton of alternatives to each for internet search and social media. The fact that they happen to be the largest/most popular should not make them subject to special rules.

I can shut up and never talk to anybody about topics relevant to my profession, or I can through trial and error attempt to find a way to deal with uninformed Internet police mucking up topics they don't know anything about using only the most kindergarten of rule sets to distinguish shitposts from honest criticism.
Like you, there are things I like about Microsoft, and things I don't. I post criticism about Microsoft quite often and don't seem to run into the same problems as you. Perhaps they just don't take me seriously enough, considering I have very little (read: no) influence on other posters opinions on here.:shrugs:

I think that a lot of people buy one system and stick with it because of the integration. Either you use hangouts, gmail, google calendar etc,
