    I had a cop approach me today, said someone called 911 from my home. I know this is BS; nobody's home at all, cept for me and I'm heading out. She asked me to check; I checked, and explained where everyone was and that everyone was accounted for. She asked to take a quick look inside; I allowed her to, and she was in and out within a few seconds and I watched her every second.

    What. The. Hell?
    I'd take umbrage if a random policeman asked me to even identify myself as I was walking down the street. I'd ask them why, and if I had some spare time, refuse.

    The phrase "I could care less" is a sarcastic version of "I couldn't care less."

    As a Brit, (a nation with arguably some of the best sarcasm/irony in comedy), I would say that I don't find it sarcastic in the least. It just sounds absurd and stupid.
    So, if you're using it for sarcastic effect, don't bother.

    I put color down to your Spanish language influences. It's the way it is spelt in that language. Of course, I could be entirely wrong. I also think that Spanish could have some bearing on your "oo"s, for example, the way stupid is pronounced over there: "stoopid". Whereas here, it's "styoopid", or "stchoopid". I notice that people here are moving from "nyoos" to "noos" for "news". Syoo has already become soo (sue).

    "Laser" is an acronym. Changing it to "lazer" would be like changing "SCSI" to "SCSY". You don't have to tell me. Light Amplification by Ztimulated Emission of Radiation just doesn't work.
