I have a Dell Latitude C400. It works great and is very light. I guess it all depends on if you travel with it or not. It was also well priced at $3600 cnd funds (taxes and shipping included). I travel a lot so I neede something compact but powerful at the same time. It also has wireless option too:-)

LOTR has been DAMN important to quite a few people as I see it...One of the best three hours I've ever spent sitting on my ass! Although it was asleep when I got out of the theatre:)

Too bad we don't have all the same political scandals as the US have though. But then again, we wouldn't have guys like Rick Mercer asking americans what they know about canadians. Tim Horton our prime minister...HA! It would make canada a much more interesting country instead of worrying about what the americans think of us.
Here, on Prince Edward Island, Canada, you can hire a programmer for $12 canadian. We're having an employment boom all over the island just in call centers. Why shouldn't american companies take advantage of this? To them, we're practically giving away the work. And we're also super-friendly which helps...
