You agree that mammals have some sort of "Instinct" that lets it develop a natural equilibrium with it's surrounding environment?
There is no such instinct. At best it can be loosely translated to "Starving to death" or being killed by it's environment in some way because the animal is competing for limited resources.
1. The low cancer rates in Colorado. We have less atmosphere protecting us from cosmic/solar radiation, more uranium in the ground, and plenty of radon. Results: Those people living in areas having high levels of background radiation â" above 1,000 mrem (10 mSv) per year â" such as Denver, Colorado, have shown no adverse biological effects.
In fact, people living in Denver have the 3rd lowest lung cancer rates in the US.
2. Chernobyl. Despite being the worst nuclear plant disaster, finding cancer after the original accident has been difficult. It's been mostly estimation using statistical analysis.
The worst part was the Thyroid cancers caused by children eating radioactive iodine.
Are they going to keep the results of LHC a secret from Americans? No? So, we don't have to spend any money AND we get all the benefits of basic research?
The research happened anyway. The only real problems are the experiments that cannot be done by the LHC because it's not big enough.
Are you kidding? It's a Big Government's wet dream.
New departments! Spending money on unneeded tech! Solving an issue that could already be solved through existing methods of taxing! Intrusive levels of data gathering!
Also, land mines are useless unless you're in a war zone. Either there's too much population around and they'll go off, or you're in the country somewhere and a deer will set it off.
Anti-tank missiles are too expensive. You'll want to look into an alternative. Unless they're sending a heavy tank after you, a.50 caliber rifle might do the trick.
Oh, I see. You're joking. Well, part of disaster preparedness is thinking about stuff like this instead of just brushing it off as ludicrous.
They're not stupid. They made a logical (and emotional) choice when they were presented the issues from the Media.
You would have to be into Politics to know that Obama hadn't much experience under his belt. I didn't vote for him, but after he won I had hoped he would rise to the challenge.
Sous-vide (pronounced/suËËviËd/), French for "under vacuum",[1] is a method of cooking food sealed in airtight plastic bags in a water bath[2] for a long timeâ"72 hours is not unusualâ"at an accurately determined temperature much lower than normally used for cooking, typically around 60 ÂC or 140 ÂF. The intention is to maintain the integrity of ingredients.
Perhaps there's no demand for the ability to cook food for THREE DAYS.
It seems to me that allowing MS to freely use your software you developed while moonlighting helps resolve a conflict of interest.
For example, you could fight management for funding and time to develop a software tool to fix an issue. OR, you can moonlight, develop that tool yourself and sell it to MS.
At what point are you filling a market need, vs neglecting your duties?
I've taken database classes and I've programmed websites to interact with databases.
However, it's been a long time since I've actually written any SQL. My current employer would flip out if I did, we hired pure Database people for a reason.
So, would I fail your test? Because I'm unable to spew out SQL statements on command?
So, to get intelligent life, life has to be firmly established, then *almost* wiped out so the more advance forms have a shot of dominating an ecosystem?
I don't think we're going to find much in the way of intelligent life out there.
Why not just cut spending by the amount? Instead of increasing spending and increasing taxes to cover it?
Wishing something to be true, doesn't make it so.
Unless you're taking the position that the entire US population is perfectly fine with the debt the Federal government is building up?
Really.

Maybe he means us discussing what he could possibly mean?
Two of the data points that have brought this up:
1. The low cancer rates in Colorado. We have less atmosphere protecting us from cosmic/solar radiation, more uranium in the ground, and plenty of radon. Where in the world did you get that 300 billion number?
You mean, "Successfully manage any kind of budget" right?
Because this whole "We're trillions in debt" is from the budget being managed.
Oh? Where would it have gotten us?

I'd be surprised if this didn't pass.
The Tea Party has a seat waiting for you.
Fruit Fly: "Water Cooling yo"
I have never, ever, seen Neil Armstong say a single word.
What kind of grenades? Flash-bang, Smoke, frag?
All of the above?

Because it's like trying to talk to a kid to be prepared that Mommy and Daddy could get into a car accident and die.
They don't like thinking of the implications of water/power failure.

Ask her how she's been dealing with the banana radiation problem:
http://wattsupwiththat.com/2011/02/16/going-bananas-over-radiation/
Because the amount of gray area scams out there are LIMITLESS.
You must learn how to keep an eye out for this stuff, and the best time to really learn is when you're a poor kid.
You don't do your kids any favors by sending them out the door wrapped head to toe in pillows.
Well, the sources I'm finding are people who estimate costs as part of their jobs.
You give no reason for me to believe what you say, and no method on how you got your estimates. You're literally, "some guy on the Internet who said."

I am not an Apple historian. But from what I've seen, Apple marks their product up 100% from what it costs them to make.
Did you even do a basic google search on the cost of an ipad? I just did, and it came up with cost estimates between 219$ to 350$.
Here's an interesting theoretical question. Under what conditions does accelerated inequity appeal to the majority of a democratic population?
I thought you were going to ask an interesting question?
Ok. Here's your "condition". People like successful people.
At least I didn't promise an interesting answer.

If the ACLU supported the Second Amendment, I'd be a big fan.
