Because risk is manageable. Because the less we spend on building and designing space ships, the more risky it gets. Because spending more doesn't mean it will be less risky.
You seem qualified to comment on the US's space program. How does your country handle problems in it's manned rockets/shuttles?
Why should Asian space efforts go for "manned" space flights?
As long as we're dealing with things that move very slowly, allowing us plenty of time to design, build and test probes for it, then robots are great.
If we come across a situation where we need something that can react to situations quickly and be able to do things we didn't predict, nothing beats a trained thinking human.
So if I quote you as sqying "American news is never biased", the truth is that you said something in between that and "American news is just as biased?"
Sweet! What a great way to manipulate information!
Sorry, but it takes a screwed up woman to look at a childs toy and compare herself physically to it. How many women have had to deal with the horrible fact that they have nipples? Barbie doesn't have them!
It ends with two dstinct races of humans, those not genetically engineered, and those that are, super-intelligent super-fit blond blue-eyed products who won't want to mix their bloodlines with the inferior 'naturals'.
Look, women aren't that bad. You just need to learn how to talk to them.
Ok. They'll probably say something along the lines of:
This kevlar armor is great at stopping bullets This sniper rifle with night vision works great! Love my M1 Abrams tank, kept me and the guys on foot around me alive!
Where the low tech guys are, well, dead.
Look up the word insurgency, I don't think you understand what that word means. The Iraq people are not rebelling against the US. In fact, they're starting to take up guns on their own to fight these "Insurgents".
Who are from other countries. Who are paid to be in Iraq to kill random people.
The war was over in a week or two. Technology won that. What's going on in Iraq now is just the building of a stable society.
If you're in Canada, you're one major health issue away from death.
I find a great way to not have to pay for expensive treatment, is to make the patient wait for tests. And wait. And wait. Then the patient dies! Problem solved.
It's only a problem as the government gains more more power. Work towards a smaller government and it becomes less important as to who's in charge and what they're doing.
You've got to be kidding me. You're saying, that all those people who make a living off of solar power, didn't realize that the panels would work better if you just angled them at the sun correctly?
Let me know when the warm tropical beaches of Scotland open up.

If you want the job done right, do it yourself.
Unless you need a root canal done. In that case, I'd suggest going to a dentist.
Really?

"It also fails to account for the fact that Mac owners tend to keep their systems for several years longer than PC users."
I don't see why keeping your old mac in the closet would qualify you as a "user".
"Tends" to be unreliable? From what I can tell, going to this site for information, is akin to asking Dan Rather about Bush's military history.
So, if this "resistance" wins, it means that all that Democracy stuff we're trying to get started has failed. So, who will be in charge of Iraq then?
Face it. CS sucks if you have any goals or desires in life that don't involve parking your butt in front of a computer all day.
The women I know of that do, tend to be anti-social.

Feminists are grasping at straws.
Yeah, I tried sitting in on a contract review. I lasted 10 minutes.

You think people would notice that some beaches...hell, some lands were dramatically warmer because of their angle?
It's ok to admit when you're wrong, and in fact, people trust you more when you do so.
Why are all the posts in support of the Canadian Health care system made by Anonymous Cowards?

Only two other countries besides the US can project a signifigant force overseas. That's the UK and Austraila.
The rest of the world would unite behind Canada, and then send you mail asking you to stop pestering them with calls for help.

Yeah, I was thinking "What does this guy research? Climate change?".
Ever hear of a "Smart Phone" Mr Hart? It's where they combine a phone, and a PDA and charge the customer 500$ for it.
I'm am truely astonished at how some people can keep their jobs.
Oh yeah.
Face it, the world has changed. Not only is the US using this copyright law, but the EU has also.
Back then, no one had the power to stop works from going into the public domain. That is no longer the case.
There is only one person that can change this, the Author. Only he/she can release their works into the public domain before the copyright is up now.
They'll come up with another copyright law that lasts 1000 years then.
(blink)

You're pretty touchy for a mechanical abomination, devoid of all life and only a mere shadow of the men you were bult to replace.

Why would you pay them 60k, when you could pay them 50k without benefits?
Or, if you plan on working them overtime, 30k. So with overtime you're not paying 50k.
Wow, 50k a year for effectively two skilled employees without benefits!
