    Because risk is manageable. Because the less we spend on building and designing space ships, the more risky it gets. Because spending more doesn't mean it will be less risky.

    You seem qualified to comment on the US's space program. How does your country handle problems in it's manned rockets/shuttles?

    Why should Asian space efforts go for "manned" space flights?

    As long as we're dealing with things that move very slowly, allowing us plenty of time to design, build and test probes for it, then robots are great.

    If we come across a situation where we need something that can react to situations quickly and be able to do things we didn't predict, nothing beats a trained thinking human.

    So, if this "resistance" wins, it means that all that Democracy stuff we're trying to get started has failed. So, who will be in charge of Iraq then?

    Ok. They'll probably say something along the lines of:

    This sniper rifle with night vision works great!

    Where the low tech guys are, well, dead.

    Look up the word insurgency, I don't think you understand what that word means. The Iraq people are not rebelling against the US. In fact, they're starting to take up guns on their own to fight these "Insurgents".

    Who are from other countries.
    Who are paid to be in Iraq to kill random people.

    The war was over in a week or two. Technology won that. What's going on in Iraq now is just the building of a stable society.

    If you're in Canada, you're one major health issue away from death.

    I find a great way to not have to pay for expensive treatment, is to make the patient wait for tests. And wait. And wait. Then the patient dies! Problem solved.

    Only two other countries besides the US can project a signifigant force overseas. That's the UK and Austraila.

    The rest of the world would unite behind Canada, and then send you mail asking you to stop pestering them with calls for help.

    Ever hear of a "Smart Phone" Mr Hart? It's where they combine a phone, and a PDA and charge the customer 500$ for it.

    Face it, the world has changed. Not only is the US using this copyright law, but the EU has also.

    Back then, no one had the power to stop works from going into the public domain. That is no longer the case.

    There is only one person that can change this, the Author. Only he/she can release their works into the public domain before the copyright is up now.

    Why would you pay them 60k, when you could pay them 50k without benefits?

    Or, if you plan on working them overtime, 30k. So with overtime you're not paying 50k.

    Wow, 50k a year for effectively two skilled employees without benefits!
