Deploying OpenLDAP

I've been maintaing a OLDAP installation for the past two years. I say maintaining because after I installed it, I haven't done any new development.
You're in for a real trip. There isn't any Good lit on LDAP. It's mostly trial and error, and if you're lucky enough to figure out your error, you'll have more trial to fix it. One doesn't have to wonder why LDAP isn't more ubiquitous.
The discovery will lend support to the idea that almost every sunlike star in our galaxy, and probably the Universe, is accompanied by planets.
This is even beyond Carl Sagan's reasoning of the likleyhood of the existence of life in the Universe. It is hard to imagine the possible abundance of extra terra life, but this theory is reasonable, and this discovery is one step closer to proving it.
I just wish I could be around to witness the presentation of absolute proof that life exists elsewhere in the Universe.
When people are left to their own devices, they just don't get much done. At home there are too many distractions like TV, the laundry, video games, etc.
So, why is this different than being at the office?
Your question is a good one. What does define our Sun's reach?
Here is an earlier article on/. regarding the Solar System and Kuiper Belt. I has links to three sites with detailed info.

Those that really can, teach. You have a wide variety of experience and knowledge, why not pass it on the to next generation.
You will stay cutting edge and help a few young folk to not make the same mistakes you once did. You will learn the newest technology from them, too.
I'm amazed how much I've learned from students. It is sometimes a challenge to keep up with their knowledge, if sometimes misdirected. Above all stay openminded.
I had a decision to make a few years ago, spend $1K for cable to my door, or $100 for DTV. Easy decision. But, I can't get any local stations on DTV, I can't get any local stations over the airwaves. I'm tired of watching "Young Frankenstein" over and over.
I am in the middle of a money dispute between air, satelite and cable. No one seems to be fighting for me. My points can't even get heard by the players. I wish Congress would consider the best solution for the audience, not the networks.
Dell makes some really nice computers. Good hardware and excellent service. But what Dell does better than most others is marketing. You all know the "Dude" commercial.
PDAs need marketing. The only ones I've seen in use are by my teammates and other nerdy types. They need to be more mainstream, like telephones. Marketing will help increase the installed base, lower production/consumer costs, and increase application.
Dell may piggyback the PDA marketing with thier highly sucessful computer ads. I'd love to see a PDA for under $100. Marketing can do this.
In my case, cable is along my road, but it will cost me $1K to bring it up the driveway (long driveway). And that is not including any equipment.
I have DirectTV, they offer sattellite internet service also, but that is only one way, down. You still need a DSL to go up, er, out. Now, why would anyone do that? If DSL is available in your location, why have both?
In 1998, or 99, Compaq bought out DEC in order to get the rights to the Alpha chip, and then didn't know what to do with it once they owned it. The already dwindeling VMS operating system became less popular as a result. Compaq directors needed to get out from under a badly handled situation, so they found a sucker.
HP finds its printer division doing very well and its computer devision growing too slowly, so they take the money from one and sink it into Compaq. It could work out well for HP, if and only if, they use the Alpha technology to their advantage. The desktop devision sucks anyway, and should not be considered as HP's salvation.
I can't believe any of the demographics. I am an over 50, white male from the northeast. According to this article, I can't even turn on a computer. I have a BS in Computer Info Sys, I had better keep that a secret, or I'll be hung by my ba--s.
When will we stop bashing each other for what we do or don't know? Hey, some of my home computers are older than some Slashdot readers.
I'm glad I'm old enough to NOT know everything about everything.
Hmm, sounds like what the FreeBSD people have been doing for a few years. Many argue that FBSD is too controlled, this is an example of what well meant control is. If *nix is to progress, efficiently, there needs to be someone to say 'NO'.
It could be replaced by ohh... a card cataloge.
A stock price can be too high, see http://money.cnn.com/2004/07/26/technology/google/ index.htm
It has more to do with psychology than dollars/share. But it is true.

It is however a great way to research the classics for info and reports.
I still like to hunt around old bookshops, and often I can find those works for a buck or two.
That's exactly where Star Wars v 1, v2, and now v3, belong. Bring back the '60s
This year SAGE extended the survey to Bangalore, India. I've been moded down. ugh.

"Nearly a miss" is what you're thinking of here. Which would actually infer a hit.
But, "near miss" implies that it was a miss by a small margin, or a near miss. It might better be written with a hyphen as "near-miss".
This advice comming from the experts who CANNOT convert Metric and Imperial measurements.
:)
Ahemm, this advice comming from those claiming to have landed on the moon.

I remember tape drives all too well. Wish I didn't.

you obviously didn't read the article. Or aren't smart enough to know how.
