    As opposed to the profit seeking thugs who commercialize drug use on an industrial scale, advertise internationally, romanticize consumption, and reinvest profits in weaponry now? Have you ever listened to the music that is popular these days? You must not have because it's the biggest marketing machine there is: Come be a gangster and you can be rich like me.

    So you're OK with taxing (if I read the article correctly) EVERYTHING that goes through an ISP regardless of the fact that the vast majority of it has nothing to do with what they're trying to protect?

    Why not? They already tax our blank CD/DVD media. I've probably burned 5 or 6 audio cd's in the last 5 years, but I pay tax to starving artists every time I buy one regardless of what I put on it. They could tax water while they are at it. We all obviously sing in the shower, and some Canadian artist should be compensated for that.

    Exactly. Except they don't even have to do that. Just make it legal for me to grow it in my own home and illegal to ever bring it outside. End of the black market.

    And watch shows like intervention. Anyone who still thinks that drug-related problems are caused by their prohibition is an idiot.

    I've seen all kinds of people on that show hooked on pain killers and other legal drugs, are you saying we are idiots for not adding them to the list of banned substances?

    Bonus points if you can tell me how the joint I smoked last night affected your life or anyone around you, and why I deserve to be punished for that but the people at the bar don't.

    It's funny when the ignorant start calling out the idiots.

    Prime Minster Mulroney in the 80's came pretty close to that when he passed the NAFTA legislation.

    Didn't Mulroney sign the Canada/U.S. FTA in the 80's, and NAFTA happen in the 90's while the Liberals were in power?

    My old roommate had a television that emitted a horrendous (to me anyway) screaching sound which he had never noticed before somehow. He claims now that I've pointed it out to him it's unbearable to him too, so he gave the TV to his sister, and nobody in her family knows about it. I'm very curious if they can be "trained" to hear it as well.

    Preferably not. They would have no reason to kill innocent civilians if you were in already responsible for killing innocent civilians.

    Because you watch too much television I'm guessing. Your country has caused more death and destruction in the name of vengance for 9/11 than even occurred during the incident. You are too focused on how you have been wronged to realize that you are even more wrong. The whole while failing to even recognize that U.S. foreign policy has stomped on more countries around the world than you have allies. You fund militia groups who oppose your enemies without regard for who gets killed along the way, then seem surprised when one of them attacks you instead. That's why.

    That would be a great place to look at how you could address the situation. Cut off support for Israel until they agree to stop expanding their borders at the very least.

    I'm saying that your country should be stopped. Would you think it is acceptable to start blowing things up in your country to stop it? No you wouldn't, but for some reason you think it is when it happens far away from your home.
