All I'll need to do is modify my/etc/caller/bootcall.m file and add "mom" to the 'obpctfnum' section, then make sure the "mom" file exists in the/etc/caller/list directory and that I have the proper sytax for her number, then reboot the phone. Oh no, the file "mom" wasn't chmod'd to 666 so now my phone is won't work!
Of course, some linux guy will walk up behind and ask why I didn't just run "perl *4*6 (oo( !## -c -q/tvg bootcall ^_^ -@last _wonderbutt_" to make it magically work.
I have to agree with this post. I've pretty much stopped buying PC games because I don't know what they're doing to my system. I did start running games in Sandboxie, but it's pretty sad that I have to do this with product that I bought.
The only thing I'd like to add is:
6) Include a demo of the game so I can try before I buy. If you think you've created a great game, then prove it instead of expecting us to just trust you- I've been burnt by worthless games way to many times.
The reason for the driver issues was that they completely changed the driver architecture which required everybody to re-write their drivers. Of course there's going to be bugs and less optimization when you have to re-write something as complicated as a driver, especially since you now have to maintain 2 sets of code and abstraction layers to compile your common code with both architectures.
The cookie didn't crumble. Its been repackaged in an easier-to-eat probitten form factor. This new package is easier for people without teeth, children. No longer will you have to struggle searching for a cookie hammer and loosing half of your cookie on the floor when you pound that old cookie. And best of all the new and improved cookie has been proven to be better for the environment
"Becasue they can use this energy crisis to imply they aren't allowed to drill and drilling will solve the energy problems. The never tell anyone the part they want to drill is just the last small portion"
No, it's because they haven't found good deposits of oil. The ones that they have found so far haven't been worth building pipelines to the remote areas that they are. However, they are still performing their analysis and may drill in the future.
'Never attribute to conspiracy what can be explained by laziness or incompetence'
"If Republicans were serious about an energy policy of the country, they would first mandate that ALL new pipelines between urban centers be able to carry both natural gas and hydrogen"
1. Hydrogen is dangerous (much more explosive than natural gas)
2. Hydrogen isn't an energy supply. Its a medium- like electric wires. You need to have a generator making the hydrogen. What's going to power your generators? Coal? Nuclear? Solar (lol)? Also, as a medium it's extremely inefficient.
3. Hydrogen is actually worse for the environment than carbon. The number one cause of the greenhouse effect is water vapor, not CO2! Don't believe me? Look up greenhouse effect in Wikipedia (before some environmentalist tries to hack and censor this).
Not really childish. The Democrats are saying "We have complete power, you have no power" and the Republicans saying "Look what they Democrats do with their power. We're trying to discuss fixes to the problems that they're ignoring"
Yea, they didn't even release a part to compete with the 8400M/8600M. Can't have defects when you don't release a part.
As for the idiot who says this explains their 7035 motherboard chipset, it doesn't. It would be like if Toyota had a recall on the seatbelts on their Prius and some idiot says "This explains why my Highlander had a flat tire yesterday!"
I've had the same experience. I've been developing my own DS game, which is why I bought the card. Since then I've bought more DS games than before. Being able to see what's good and what sucks has let me buy the games that I really enjoy, and I can't express how freeing it is to never have to carry around a set of cards and worry about loosing them.
Oddly, I think this has helped Nintendo in yet another way- I never return the games that I buy.
What everyone seems to forget is that fuel cells are really bad for the environment. You think CO2 is bad? Its nothing compared to water vapor. Don't believe me? Check out wikipedia's entry for Greenhouse Gasses: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenhouse_gas

water vapor, which causes about 36 to 70% of the greenhouse effect on Earth.
carbon dioxide, which causes 9 to 26%
Now, you may think that it's ok because were forming water from what was originally water and thus we have balance, but the problem is that when you recombine the H2 and O2 you get your water and HEAT. This heat turns the water into vapor immediately which is released into the atmosphere.
Save the earth- avoid fuel cells and use gasoline!
The "chair of the IPv6 working group of the Federal CIO Council" has "not heard of anybody who is not going to make the IPv6 deadline". In other words, goverment agency responsible for IPv6 Deadline is unaware of how unprepared the departments that he's responsible for actually are.
I can honestly say that the DRM is causing me to not buy this game. I was on the fence as to whether or not to get it, but this issue was enough to push me off the fence onto to the side of not purchasing it.
If I had really wanted it, I would have bought it. But since I don't have a lot of extra time on my hands, and I don't want to waste money on a game I won't play much..... I'm just not going to put up with this - one less stress in my life.
I don't get cracked software because I don't trust downloaded code running on my system. I don't feel like I can trust these people with access to my system with the software I purchase!
If the car would record other cars around it and upload illegal driving to the police so they can mail out a ticket, then everyone would be forced to either buy one of the self-driving car or risk a ticket every time they make the tiniest of mistakes. Maybe I should be in marketing:P
If someone posted it in a forum, it's unlikely that they just wrote it on the spot. He more likely copied it from somewhere where it was used (or at least compiled). The question is where did that author get it? You might want to check a couple of places such as related open source projects to make sure that it wasn't copied from open source, else you may be inadvertantly violating license agreements. After doing this, I'd think that you were probably ok - if ever in court you could recount the steps you took. Although, I'm not a lawyer, so take this advice with a grain of salt
Actually, this isn't always so nice: while(loop1) { while(loop2) { do_some_alloc(); if(alloc_failed)// need to break completely out due to say.... malloc fails need_to_break_out = 1; break; } if(need_to_break_out)// UGLY!!!!! break; }
As for "Just wrap them up inside a function and 'return' from it, instead of goto-ing to the end", this doesn't always work because in the example above returning would cause us to leak all the resources that we've alloced so far. We could free these resources, but that would require 2 more nested whiles (yuck!). Although, usually will have a dealloc function that will perform frees so you could call that before break, but you need to make sure you set things up to be able to call that function from an aborting alloc function (initialize all your pointers early).<br> After using do{}while(0) for years just to avoid gotos, I've accepted that perhaps they're not so bad after all.
I can answer this one. Its so that the zone can change with the story line. The first time you go into a particular house there may be a person there who gets murdered by brigands. You kill the brigands and continue the story line. If the guy was alive and well again when you went back then you would have a schism in the story line.
Atlantis. Oh, and whatever nation that is now under the Baltic Sea (some reports contend that the Baltic Sea was created by a flood over previously occupied land). However, your point is well taken. Hurricanes are not a new or recent phenomenon, nor are they any worse today than throughout history.
I heard that its going to have a Wiimote... I mean Xmote controller whos position and direction can be accurately detected. And it will have a killer game called The Lengend of X-elda.
Guy working at Gamestop said that EB Games and Gamestop together would get 90% of the Wii's that are released the first day. Not sure how accurate that is, but thats what they're being told from their higher-ups. We went by the store at 7:30 and it was already too late. So, I went into the mall and got spot number 7 in line. Then they opened early, I did my preorder, and when I left I drove past the Gamestop and was laughing at the people still in line. Since Gamestop opens at 10:00 they're probably still in line, and I already had breakfast and am at work. Fun times.
These are some of the 'facts' that people seem to be trying to say. A lot of it seems to be contradictory.
A. The net neutrality act is already in place and were debating keeping it. Is this true?
B. The debate is over 2 sets of lines really -
1. The internet backbone, which, if the people who are maintaining this right now act unscrupulous then ISPs and corporations (M$, Yahoo, Google) could place their own wires to bypass.
2. The wire to your house, which is placed there by a company that has a government-enforced monopoly that allows them and only them to bring that wire to you.
C. This law is supposed to make it illegal to pay more for higher speed internet. Is this true?
D. Without this law, Bell South could make sure that the only 'internet' you get is the one that connects to their websites.
