    Like most government property these days? Cameras aren't all that high-tech, and just putting a little mirror that people THINK the camera is behind would eliminate all but 0.01% of the problems.

    The P95f+ is a CRT, and I was butchering the terminology a bit. I mean the shape of the screen isn't strict 4:3, so I have a bit more room without making everything look fat (a problem when watching pr0n, mind you).

    I bought a Viewsonic P95f+, and the geometry works really well. I'm also pretty sure the native resolution is 1280x1024, which I like, because I'm a nerd (I guess that goes without saying if I'm posting here).

    Really, it's the best CRT I've seen in forever. I'm working on getting an LCD because my second monitor is a Shitty Trinitron 19" that eats my poop.

    (Shitty is not the brand, btw)

    I don't know how people don't just straight up laugh in MS's collective face. It's just absurd. How goddamn long has the way of expressing the logical idea "is not" been expressed by those very words?

    My theory is that it's been since those two words were paired up. How can you patent a method of expressing something that is what is being expressed?

    IsNot is is not is ! is Is Not, and you can't patent IsNot as a way of expressing Is Not. Because IsNot !uniquely_unique.

    I'm interested in the number of installs per download. Because I suspect *that* is a very high number as well.

    Because I've downloaded it once, installed it a few times already, and I was away from computers all weekend. Plus users of Debian Sarge, Gentoo, Arch Linux, BSD, and any other version of Linux with a package-management system didn't download from the Mozilla site.

    And what about people routing through a proxy. would the server still get a request and be able to count that download? I demand every fact in the world!

    While I pity those who installed SP2 and it ruined their Windows install, it is a leap forward. People are more concious of security, which is good. Wireless support for SP2 is frankly excellent. I understand people's misgivings about it, because it's not perfect, but it's better.

    It makes IE smarter, and makes wireless "support" worthy of the word.

    when I was job searching dammit if almost everyone didn't ask me for A+ certification even though I'm a better tech than anyone I've met who is A+ certified.

    Granted, maybe if they would let me walk in the door, I'd meet some smart people. And I'm not discounting A+ certified people. I just don't think it matters all that much which IRQ is the RTC (8).

    The sad thing is, 5 years later, there's still so many ignorant people like you running around telling people that the impeachment proceedings were just because Clinton "lied about a private matter."

    It behooves you in an argument not to call people ignorant. And the Clinton issue was a non-issue that got taken to a court of law. Bush has done enough to warrant that he testify UNDER OATH, and it's not being done. Clinton's crime was being a womanizer, like so many of our great presidents. People have their flaws and prefer that my president has personal demerits instead of political demerits. He shouldn't have been taken to court. IMHO.

    I saw an HP with a pad that had a little ridge separating a scrolling zone. I don't think tapping was enabled on that part of the pad, but if it were, it would be the ideal tracking device for a laptop.

    I hate HP though. Don't get me wrong. As a computer technician, the more poorly constructed, hard to work on computers you get from a manufacturer, the more you hate the manufacturer. What the f--- is up with the proprietary power supply? It just pisses me the f--- off.

    The other requirements are mine as well, so I can't criticize you there. I don't get why their budget PC doesn't just have a Mobile XP processor, which costs 65 damn dollars. I mean, Celeron? How much power does that bastard gobble? How about a Sempron Mobile?
