Don't forget to mention the recent upgrade from a phosphor/striking surface interface to a flint/scroll wheel. The new iPot is so intuitive, a child could use it.:-)

Yes, it does. There is no argument against including ogg support. THE CODEC IS FREE. OGGs compress higher quality at lower bitrate.
Also, it's extremely reasonable for a consumer to choose to boycott (eg, not buy) a product if it doesn't provide an essential feature to said consumer.
Isn't there a point at which spending what we now consider an excess of cpu cycles on directing the flow in processes is more efficient? My oh-so-simplistic analogy is the jump from 2D to 3D graphics took a while, but it became more efficient to create frames from renderings of a massive 3D construct than a frame-by-frame drawing.
So, sure, there's more waste at the current point in the spectrum, but won't there be another curve in the opposite direction at some point? I think just the fact that 5 years ago, 5 processors was less efficient than now is an indication of things to come. There are constantly incredibly brainy people talking about the wall we're pushing up against, and we still haven't hit it.
Are we at the point where we have dedicated process processors (doing load balancing and only load balancing)? Keep in mind I know nothing about the subject at hand.
I'm fairly young, so my exposure to the advancement of computing technology is limited, but I haven't seen the indication that we're hitting a wall really. It might take some reevaluation, but when was that a bad thing?

Last time I bought a Cray super-computer, I was kicking myself for weeks about the 2 million dollars I wasted.
Next time, I'm just gonna build a beowulf cluster out of 200 overclocked AMD Barton 2500s. I shall NOT be suckered again!
ATI's lack of support for Linux is appalling, what with over 16000 signatures on the ATI Linux driver petition. They still don't have drivers for XF86 4.4
And they don't work with the new X.org, and I'm not hopeful about the future. I'm building a friend a budget computer and he wants an awesome video card, so I shall say goodbye to my Awesome-in-Theory 9800 Pro, and get a GeForce FX 5200 and MX 4000 with the money I get from it.
Really, don't buy ATI cards. If you ever have a problem, they won't care

I'm not whining. I somewhat agree, however, I've lived in Mexico for 10 years and am friends with quite a few Central and South Americans. There is a decent quantity of folks whose goat it gets.
And it's relatively absurd. If Spain decided that they were the Republic of Europa and started calling their flag the European flag, it would be offensive. Just because we chose an insensitive name and have stuck with it for 200 years doesn't make it right.
