I just swapped a spare k/b over to dvorak... And hell does this make for slow typing.. But I'm getting a little faster.. Loving the A placement:)..

I'm sure the site owner would prefer someone getting stuff off his site, and caching it elsewhere than having thousands of hits in minutes, costing lots of bandwidth money (y' know) and crashing his server(s)
Hell I hope it never happens to me.. The traffic would cost me an arm and a leg (well maybe even 2 of them..).. Just about tempted to put the address here but worried it'll cost lots:D
Could live like that.. Live in your parents basement (admit it, half of you do anyway), eat the peanuts and sell any extras to afford more computer stuff..
Wow.. you should start mass producing those and selling them.. You could design them so they sit on your lap, and maybe even run off batteries.. And then think of a cool name.. I dunno.. laptop computer or something. You'd sell thousands!!
Just the other day I had a computer where windows was being a bitch.. (big surprise!) Boot disk then:
c:
deltree c:\windows
deltree c:\progra~1
del *.*
cd win98
setup
And hey, it worked.. Also good for when windows dies and you need an emergency backup before format.. xcopy c:\mydocu~1 d:\
etc etc etc..
Late at night.. Who's night.. me over here at GMT+12 would prob get it smack bang in the middle of the day.. Grrr

20mb you say.. ok theres over half a million slashdot users. Now say just 1% of users visit the slashdot cache - 5000 users. Now say they download just 5% of that site - 1mb. That's 5gb of traffic from just 1% of/. users - 1% of registered users. Now say that happens on one site a day - 30x5gb=150gb/month.. That's one whole lot of bandwidth.. at a lot of $$. Now imagine of 5% of registered users looked at these sites.. 750gb.. 10% and you're up to 1.5tb
I'd be interested to see what browsers everyone actually uses... I use a combo of IE and Opera.. Just had a few issues with Opera which necessitates the use of IE.. Future poll topic..?

Whatever. There's a damn good reason. Ham is tasty. Pork is yummy. Bacon is real nice.

links are href'd.. images are src'd.. (even src'd from..)
He.. that's a great idea for the post above... Will save the guy having to carry that friggin' hand everywhere he goes

I'll be impressed when NZ gets $1/gb.. our 120gb drives cost $NZ353.. So NZ $120 would be a nice decrease (NZ$120~US$50)
I think not.. If you run it through your car head unit it would be no more distracting than listening to the 9 o'clock news and flicking stations..
Such as Colin McRae Rally (well at least the first one).. Easy to change things - theres a text file.. You can make your own language easily.

Well why would an Australian site register a New Zealand domain name??

Why the hell don't you go and spends $20 on a decent cooler then - still would come out cheaper than an Intel.
