    Then no one could affrod to fly them first of all. For example a decent autopilot is close to 10 grand, panel mount gps 2-3 grand, this damn thing will cost a bunch more. Pretty soon my software eng salary isn't going to afford much more of that stuff.
    Second of all I trust my own piloting skills much more than any software(in good or bad weather). Boy it would sure piss me off if it were to try to tell me I am flying into a building when I at 4000 feet over florida.

    As I've always have heard with computers you can't prove something works, you can only prove it doesn't work. As long as there are an almost astronomical number of states a computer can be in, you can never test for every possible case.

    Yeah, you see a few of them here or there in your cse classes. We always called those guys dad. WE had Dads 1-6.
    I saw that Dad 2 got a job with a local software company. It was good to see him go because it was gross to see him always hit on all of those mediocre cs girls.

    All you need is to hook up a camerea up do an artificial neural net and spend a couple hours teaching/progamming it to steer and throw in a cpu and run a rule based system with a well defined set of rules(for navigation,traffic laws, etc) and we're set. Piece of cake.

    No thats not exactly true. If the os is isnt using the hd as virtual memory then the program can run in the computer's memory and can be interactive without using the secondary memory to store.

    YOu can access the hd and then let the user manipulate the data but it would prevent a store on the server from the user. So this could limit interactivity to an extent submitting information such as purchases

    95% of the people using AOl wouldn't understand that they are currently using IE. Most people I have delt with fixing their computers call it something like "AOL Internet Browser"

    I garuntee you that people will call customer support because their websites "look a little different" after the switch.

    AOL likes to market to people ignorant about computers. Just look at their commercials, they have one person saying on it "I like to hear the 'you've got mail' blah blah blah". Those "testimonials" are definately directed for people who dont understand computers.

    Many of you have this all wrong.

    This only really applies to homebuilders. The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is out there to promote building of homebuilt aircraft. They want these documents out there in the open to promote homebuilding, not lets build such and such WWII aircraft and know how to build this jet.

    Most of these aircraft, most likely are little single-engined aircraft that most people dont understand one from another. This is really only applicable to you if you want to BUILD it and you want the plans or want to do some sort of coversion and you need the FAA approved STC.

    These plans and STCs are very expensive to get so people like to hold on to them and charge for their usage. SO when you cant find the person anymore, you're SOL.
