Is an opinion flamebait? So I take it just cause a comment such as the one I made causes a string of replies then that means that it was my intention to spark up conversation or arguement? Common, give me a break fellar! My commnet was just that a comment. I am getting tired of individuals mod'ing my comments as if I had nothing better to do on a Sunday night than to post a "flamebait" comment (I think this is either my second or third since I have started posting). Give me a break, look at my history of articles and see if that is my style.
Sorry if I sound a little ticked off, however I think that it is silly that because of a moron with a mod point who decided to use this against me and better yet a tag of "flamebait" on my comment which I made with a sincere heart and I think is true just will not get seen by individuals who might think like me that this would help bring cleaner entertainment into our homes.
Anyway, tahnks for lending me your eyes and minds in ths gripe session!
"Entertain the Brutes"
THis would help in editing the bad content of movies (cursing, nudity, etc.) and making some movies out there viewable for the whole family. I like this and hope to see this soon.
I do hope though that this is not limited in any way, if I want to cut the movie up and make my very own "KDENCE's Cut" I should be able to.
I think there is room for both in this matter. Some people care to play the realistic kind of games and some just wanna play the MarioKart kinda of games (I like a little of both personally).
I have heard though that there are some problems games being a little too real to where gameplay is actually not as fun as it could be. The review was on msn.com and the subject was something like the worst games to play this year kinda thing. It talked about a skiboat fighting game made for PS2 or XBox that was so realistic that it totally reacted to the waves in the water and made you easily lose control of the boat and therefore get creamed by the AI players. So in cases as this that sucks, games are meant to be fun and entertaining, not frustrating!
So in conclusion, sure we can live with both kinds of games but we must always keep in mind that games MUST be fun, otherwise they are not games they are work.
Now, if McDonald's can come up with a Fry container that lets them know I need a refill then that would be so sweet.
On the serious note, this is one of the brightest sales ideas I have heard in a long time, however the short end of this is that it will be getting people drunker than if they sat with an empty glass for a while. Ibet DWI will go up to!
Entertain the Brutes!
I saw somewhere (Parents MAgazine) that kids can damage their eyesight by prolonged computer use. I would think that this can easily transfer to us. So my suggestion is not in regards to the kind of monitor, but the time you spend in front of it.
Ok, monitor advice! Use the biggest resolution possible. I use 800X600 on a 19 inch Flat Screen NEC.
Well it is time to sell the house and check in to the nearby federal penitentiary!
Who would have thought that after you use this thing, we wouldn't want to open it to check it out anyway? What I think happened is that they took the five million dollars and put it in their bank accounts and with the interest "developed" these things.
Oh, well it will be interesting for these guys to spend some time in jail with real criminals!
This article fails to mention that you would wind up looking like a moron doing this though. Tell me that if you see somebody down the streets of NYC walking and moving his mouth without sound coming out wouldn't strike you kinda weird (OOoops, that would actually be normal in NYC (I am from NYC so don't be insulted) it will probably be best if we changed the state to Wisconsin)
Seems like kool technology, however we need to read brainwaves (Now that would be a little too kool).
I wish they could come up with an underwater dealy that could help us explore the depths of the ocean so we can maybe check out these giant squids and see where they roam. Maybe this is a step closer to that?
If we find enough of them then maybe we can find them in our local Italian restaurants as giant calimary (marinara sauce and lemon wedges included).
If there is such a thing as reality tv, which there is, it explains the rage for a game like the Sims. People want to be able to watch other people do what they do and this opens the door for a controlled environment in which to do it.
I guess what I am trying to say is that if you like Survivor, Big Brother, and maybe even webcams that are strategely placed in NYC or atop of somebody's tree in the middle of Indiana so that you can watch the corn grow, then most likely the Sims sounds like fun.
Not trashing the game, just over-analyzing it!
Ok, seems like a cool little gadget, but what is the price mate?
There is a lot of kool stuff out there but without a price we cannot start thinking on whether this is something we might start begging the wifey for or not!
In my workplace we considered using MS Project to keep track of all our junk, however we came to the conclusion that we were too small a place for this.
Take a look at it and if you don't like walk away and never look back!
That is exactly my perception, people like my teenage sister are bored of the internet or have grown up and matured enough and are realizing that the internet is either too boring or really useful when doing papers and such. I am glad to see this change of use for it. The internet is a great tool for all and eventually will be more of a necessity than a toy.
Totally agree. Check out my reply to this guy: "Man is this out of topic, however I will reply to it. There is already a car that flies, it was shown in Reader's Digest and some news webistes like msnbc. It looked liek a sportscar of sorts and yes it is red." You are dead on though, they were saying that they don't know who would regulate this, wehter your local DMV or the FAA. Anyway, great insight man.

See this is what I am talking about! I had way too many expectations for the year 2k and for the first time it seems that we are getting some of that Jetsons stuff that I thought we would have by now. This keyboard seems to be a glimpse of the future that I thought was fast acoming in the 80's. I am very impressed with this and just can't wait until the flying car comes into my local car dealer, plus the robot maid that does all my work around the house for me.
I would say that their advertisement goal has been more than met now because of this article. I had never heard of this game and since never frequent cemeteries I would have never seen it. Kinda funny the way the media works sometimes in that we give the people who are wanting to be heard through weirdness even more attention. My mom always said, that if you don't pay attention to these type of people, they'll get discouraged and just go away.
Microsoft is like a prison cell with a bad lock, just when you think all is safe and bend over to tie your shoes you get screwed!
Just when I start thinking that ms is top of the line above all they come out with some security flaw out there, of course tomorrow we'll be able to dload some new service pack, but I hope they start being a little bit more proactive than reactive.
I am amazed at the fact that Rio is finally making their awesome ideas affordable. This seems like something that I can get into, however it probably is a little to early in the game for me. This kinda technology and pricing should help Rio stay in the market or alive for a while.
One word describes all, sure, however I will reply with more. You mean to tell me that politicians are influenced by money? Wow, never knew that! Just in case you didn't catch that, that is sarcasm. However, it is time for us all to grow up, and that includes me and realize that we can't keep blaming politicians for all of our societies problems, especially since we are the ones who elect them.
In regards to the rest of your email, I guess you haven't totally read all of the posts that have been posted, in reagrds to this I do agree that we don't necessarely need new laws, however we do need to modify the existing laws to making them be relative to todays technological advances.
Man, this is sweet. Next I want some of those theaters that are equipped with smell, shockers, and all that good stuff. This is what we need, throw away the virtual and bring on the reality!
You are right, you can't impose a 200 year old law on a new technological freedom that has been around for 1 year. Like I have said in my other reolies and stuff, we don't necessarely need new laws, but ammendments and modifications are due.

For lower prices on my "excess" bandwidth I can prostitute my connection. Just let me know where to sign fellas!

You ruined the streak I had going for most non-replied posts in my slashdot history. Oh well records are meant to be stopped?
By the way, I had to mention Wisconsin, figured no one else would!

If he dies doing this will his life insurance company consider it suicide? I am going to be looking at the Darwin Awards for this genius!
