First of all, get real. Second of all, I highly disagree with the way companies allow for us to handle the rights to their "intellectual property," althought we buy licenses and such. If you are one of those type of guys who have never participated in any sort of "black market" or "underground" viewing, purchasing, hearing, or whatever, then I commend you, however I would highly doubt it. Third of all, my case is for laws to be changed in order to better accomodate our new technologies, can you tell me that the laws are meant to be a permanent thing in our lives and untouchable, or unmodifiable? Then why do we have ammendments? You have to admit that some alws are just not applicable and that the heart in which those laws where created was a different one too. Don't use the laws that are there now to protect the bullyism that is going on in our society and delivered by the record, movie, and software industry.

I am truly sorry that you feel the way you do and hope that you realize that there are two types of people in this World, the little people and the big people and you are siding with the big people.

That is the biggest problems in our laws today, the laws are slowly being updated to meet the changes in technology. So what we wind up trying to do is to apply ancient laws to new "crimes". I hope our gov't wakes up on this!

Good point, however Sony is truly lacking in the accessory market and they might have to change the flipcase that falls off all the time, their look is sweet though, I will agree that Sony has some of the prettiest looks in a Palm OS handheld. Also the memory stick and shuffle knob is pretty freaking kool. In regards to Palm they have the accessories to match the need, however they did get greedy and changed the recepticle for the cases. It should be good competition between the two though, however I do see Palm winning.

I wonder why Palm hasn't jumped in on this race. I am surprised that it has taken so long for these type of devices to come out. Also, it seems so early in the game that it would almost be to risky to jump into one of either the Treo or this Blackberry.
Advice: Althought they are behind in coming up with a cobo unit, wait for Palm. Once they come out with one, they'll make it right with all the little cool features that make it worthwhile.

It seems to me that there is a profit invloved here and my suggestion is to forget the profit and do it just for the glory. That just goes to show you that things in life are not free (well except for love, yes I am cheesy!) and that all companies big and small will try to make money out of you. Napster did it, yes you can say they were forced, but I believe it was the plan from the get go and now sun, I think it was planned. Yes, I do agree that $35 is pretty cheap (or whatever the price will be), however I do warn you that in the upcoming years te prices of staroffice and ms office will start coming closer to each other. The good thing, maybe some will start seeing that sun is not our savior from ms. The bad thing, I have -1 karma so most of you will not see this. I guess that is the price of freedom! On the serious note though, I think that this administration is doing a great job keeping the morale and welfare of our troops as a top priority. Pepole sometimes don't realize that when you put up with junk from both sides of the fences a good meal goes a long way. So next time you are sitting at home watching Women's Figure Skating and eating a bowl of freshly made Mac & Cheese, think of a Marine, soldier, airman, or sailor in some far away land protecting us and keeping America free and just think (you don't have to say it)a thought of gratitude. Ok, you are not a scientist of anything but yet you are, confusing but kool i guess! I am glad that you feel that the quest for extra-terrestial life and space exploration is a good or great thing, however I do differ. Yeah, it is neat to find one more star, it is neat that we have gotten duct tape out of the billions of dollars that we have spent on the space program, and yes it is neat that we keep trying to find new organism in other parts of the universe, however, could we possibly better use the resources (money and brain power) for better things inside of this planet? Can we maybe have one more scientist working on AIDS or cancer, or the many other diseases and ailments that this world pocesses? Do you meant to tell me that we have spent as much money on medical research here on earth as that of the space program? You mention flight, I don't have a problem with flight at all, my problem is sending junk to Mars and Venus, and even Pluto to just check things out. You mention that I am full of crap if I believe that a found tiny organism can be a catalyst for amazing discoveries and such, but don't you think that we can have the same probability if we put those resources to use here on earth (I figure if specualtionis what we are talking about then this fits right in)? You also talk about technological advances, well wouldn't you think that if you put that much freaking money into something that some advances would come of it. Man, put that much money into your local mechanic and I am pretty sure that some technological advances will come out of it. Standard of living? You know what made that standard of living? The guys who had the courage to sign the Declaration of Independence, the man who wrote the Constitution, the millions of men and women who have served and serve this country. Please don't try to tell me that a Space Shuttle or any other type of space bound machine is what gives us our standard of living, that is ridiculous man! As far as the x-files mentality in the last chapter, get real man, it is just a show! To all the rest who may read this, I don't oppose us sending satelites and researching the way comets and meteors travel, but I think that sometimes we go a little too far in how much money we spend in space research. There are too many things going on internally in this planet for us to be worrying about Mars, Pluto, and Black Holes!

I don't see how this is going to help us at all. It is amazing that the same liberals that support space exploration don't support a Star Wars like Missile Defense program. Sure we can look for others planets to bail out to in 5 million years, but we can't protect the planet we live in now. Anyway, that is a little off topic, but I just hope that people realize the absurdity of space exploration and space research of any sort. Beam me up scotty!
