Smeagol is not, nor was he ever, a hobbit. He was of a race unknown to the times of the War of the Ring, possibly related to hobbits and/or men, but not certainly. If they were related, it would be somewhat distant.

How can a proton have definate (or semi definate) shape? Shape can only be observed by sight (and protons are much smaller than the wavelength of light and don't just bounce high energy electo-magentic radiation), or by collision. Protons do not collide in the normal way, they either repulse like-charged particles by the electroweak force or attract them. So, how can the shape have any meaning?
The article also says that he signed bills to fight junk fax and expidiate do not call lists. Sounds like a great step forward for privacy and anti-stupidity laws!
If you would read the announcement, or any of the posts, you would know that they didn't know whether it would support linux when they sent the box design off. You can't reprint thousands upon thousands of boxes, delaying game release, to announce linux support.

Broken to a cryptographer means anything easier than brute-force. So in theory, this methed requires throwing less processor cycles at it than just totally random throwing, but it's still "just throwing processor cycles at it" in a sense.
Broken to an engineer means something that is reasonable to do that cracks the code. That this is not (yet).
Everybody should be aware that the purported "antique skunk statue", which raises it's tail when a level is depressed, and is currently being widly distributed, is FAKE. There some similar items, but nothing of this description existed before May of 2001. BEWARE!
If you would read the post, you would notice that this if for a SOLAR car, hence no battery and it's not for cruising around picking up babes, but for some competition in all likelyhood. And yes, it would completely replace the rear view mirror.
A new phase of human clinical trials is due to begin within the next few weeks after earlier tests saw
white-haired dogs and green frogs turn jet black when they were injected with the drug.
This might even get that pasty-white developer's tan (tan only on the elbow of the left arm where that one piece of light comes through the crack in the window) out!
2 days ago? Look at the screenie - the date is ~1:30 on 8/16. That's about 24 hours ago by my clock-maybe slightly more/less because of time zones, but not much.
Ask slashdot is becoming increasing ridiculous, with the answer to almost every question found at either google or within OSDN. I don't mean to flame the editors, but it would be good if they would be a little more selective WRT ask slashdot.
The thought of trading strength for endurance (and vis versa), is very interesting but I suspect that the balance in humans is pretty much optimal for general use. What's intriging to me is that the effect seems to be a local thing. Wanna be a soldier? How about cranking the upper body to strength and the lower to endurance? Geek? Turn the right arm to endurance. The possibilities are endless!
Now he's got a curious, glowing white light where his CPU was. /.ed to hell and back a few times, it seems.
Hey, if you invented a law like Murphy did that fscks up almost everthing, do you expect to be called responsible?
"Un-stranded"?? Man oh man...

Your son, Calvin, doesn't agree. Especially with regard to shovelling the drive...

Seems good to me!

Please tell everybody you know!!!
Could you fudge a RAID level 1 with this thing?
