I rallied against my kids getting a new game system. Then I saw the Wii on the release date at a local mall and went on the hunt. I bought it for myself, disguised as a Christmas gift for the kids. Honestly, it was the pure lack of same old games that drew me in. Now, I'm looking forward to what EA might do with the Wii, and think this slow adoption might be good for both companies.
"The BBC is reporting that anti-terror Police officers in London have been given live access to the "congestion charge cameras", allowing them to view and track vehicles in real time. "
If the anti-terror Police officers in London are anything like the anti-terror officers in the States, I would suspect that public acknowledgment means it's been going on for a decade, minimum.
it's called an Ipaq. I paid $200 for a refurb. It's a gps (tomtom) unit, with camera, internet, email, MS Office, plays games and videos AND has 4 GB of storage.
I don't get the iPhone hype.
while the EPA estimates are 36/31, my reality is about 36/29.5, unless I'm on the highway on a roadtrip with my car-top carrrier and in a hurry... then my highway mileage will drop off to about 23. That hurts.
At least they weren't impossible. I bought one for my house and one for my nephews. I'd rather be complaining about a company providing a limited release when there is a lack of software than have the poor implementation of the competitors.
ding ding ding.
I have two adult friends (40 somethings) who come to my house to play the Wii. One of them has kids and a no video game policy in their house.
"I'm just saying it's probably the parents job of being mindful of what their kids are playing, rather than leaving it up to some retailer."
Agreed. Same thing should be said about liquor, cigarettes, and certain OTC meds. Hell if the parents don't CARE enough to suporvise the kids, why should the guy at your local C-Store or Gamestop?
1) rather than worrying about blame or calling names, shouldn't we all be planning how to deal with it?
2) Who cares about climatoligists? See #1, above.
3) Starting to sound like the Democrats claiming they have to introduce draft bills to combat the warmongering Republicans
4) See #1, again.
I know, you're just itching for a fight, so I'm responding in jest, but seriously, calling people stupid does little to help us move forward and lots to drive a wedge between two sides who should be focusing on a common enemy.
I know that that meteors are supposedly easy to spot on ice fields...
I know the extra water will be bad for the coastal cities and such, but I tend to be a half full kind of guy and am interested about what things might be discovered.
I do not disagree with what you say, at all. I merely think that the headline, proclaiming 2006 was the warmest year ever, is as sound as me proclaiming my wife is the most beautiful woman ever, considering I've actually only seen a small percentage of women. I think the information referenced only claimed it to be the warmest on record.
Without even reading the article, I feel that I have to question the title.
I mean, can 2006 actually be the warmest year ever? What about all those years when there were no ice caps?
Does this author really mean the warmest year since the last unusual freezing of the planet?
or since records started being kept?
or since accurate records were maintained?
i find it no more or less offensive than "Hit Man" for the XBox360.
I think we should boycott Game Stop, Wal-Mart and anyone else that carries video games!
That's much easier than actually parenting our children.
Is there any relevance? Does this mean the sun will emit more or less energy? Will overall insolation drop?
I'd love to see a follow up article that discussed the practical extensions of this science that was done 4 years ago.
Hopefully it hasn't just been sitting on a shelf for all this time to only just now become "breaking" news.

"you need to go through a months long process, by that time it would be obvious they're not mentally stable enough to own a gun."
lol
If the same panel recommends changes, I strongly disagree with proposed changes.
If we have a little more BushThink we'll all be doomed.

a good acronym.
duh.
I can't even talk about this without a decent acronym.
When I put my 21.5cu foot cargo carrier on top of my hybrid Ford Escape, my highway mileage drops of dramatically.

Wii is "Creaming the Competition?"
huzzah!
This is almost exactly what I intended to type.

I didn't suggest restricting anyone's right to boycott. I asked if it was within one's right to slander a business.
