Who do not have enough time to read each candidate proposal,
only watch the 30 min. TV debate 1 month before the elections,
who do not understand 75% of every single phrase politician tell and
who honestly think that whoever is elected, it will be about the same?
I used to be idealistic, but I now think that government is just another business which happens to control my life.
"Democracy" sounds great... That's about it.
Since its as slow as windows...
Who cares about the UI... someone needs to do something about theses servers
The interface looks nice, but it may be somewhat inefficent. This news isn't very important.
To current and next generation of mini-itx?
The site's currently slashdotted so I can't see the specs, But the mini-itx platform is really something worth a look at.
And the next generation will even have the C3 1ghz via cpu and mpg2 hardware acelleration!!!
The perfect media/desktop box...
My younger brother has so much problem in its French course (we live in quebec...) because he chats to more.
he doesn't use chat abbreviation in its assignment, but he is so used to it that now, he wrote down things phonetically...
Hillarious sometimes, but very bad nonetheless...
- Include baby baby 10x in each song
- Take the good ol' I love you and I want you back theme, stir a bit, remix...
- Color your hair, put a lot of gel in there and shake well.
- Travel almost undress, thus revealing your new 100% remolded boobs (or totally fake skin tan)
- Move your back a lot
- Find a kewl nick-name
obligatory...
- ???
- succeedddd!!!!/obligatory
Look at the mini-itx form factor, introduced by VIA.
Their EDEN platform runs with their C3 cpu.
Not incredibly fast, but does the job.
Also, they are supposed to introduce their new generation some time this autumn.
I've always wondered what exactly was the "backbone" of the internet.
I mean, I understand the concept, but technically, what is it?
Somebody want to educate me on this topic?
Makes me think...
I really really beleive that the GPL is a brilliant concept.
But, and sorry for that, I fail to see how I could buil a business on top of it.
Sure, it can work for some type of application, you give the app, sell the support.
But there are other type of application which I don't see could fit in this model.
Games for one. How could you make a profit selling open-source games?
First of all, there is no support to offer.
Second, games are generaly obsolete within months.
I mean, it is not like an open-source server which could evolve years after years.
A game, you release it one time, maybe add to that a couple expension pack, a couple patch, and it's over.
And as beautyfull an idea as it may be, and as much as I would like to share knowledge with each others, I have to eat, pay the bills and build up my future.
All that takes real money!
So, do you people beleive (and have a rational explanation) that the GPL can be applied to EVERY single type of software, or it can only be aimed at some categories of software which one can offer services for?
This is a totally different issue here.
It's not the tool but how it has been used which was the problem.
Exactly the same thing as when you claim that they should not prohibit new technologies because it is their use which can be bad.
Public surveillance cameras are not inherently bad, they can be used for bad things tough.
And honnestly, you really think they need to place cameras in public place to track you?
If you ever happend to be of such interest to the police/fbi/whatever that they want to track your activities, I promess you they have better and more reliable ways of doing it then following your moves downtown on cameras.
An intersection is a public place.
Forget about "privacy" in a "public" place, it makes no sense.
Anyway, what do you have to fear being filmed at the intersection?
I prefer to be filmed at the intersection knowing that some people will be safer then not being filmed.
And do not throw me the famous "Those who would
sacrifice freedom for safety deserve neither freedom or safety"
Because I do not sacrifice any freedom for that little safety.
Now, back to spying on my internet connection/house/phone lines etc etc, this is another story and this is driving me nuts.
If I'm not accused of anything, or if they don't have a warrant, thry do not have any right to do so.
Dude, I'm still up and running with my good ol'
PII 266 512 meg ram and a 3dFx voodoo 5.
Had served me flawlessly for more then 3 years now!
Its new nickname is TRex;)
5 seconds from start-up to movie
And some pics over here... Not bad hey?!?
Wow and re-Wow
Once I tought about it, it should almost be modded at +5 insightfull as it represent exactly what would happen...
When I was in grade 10, I took a manditory computer studies class
:)
What about the mandatory english one?

Somehow, it is Slashdotted... Go figure!!!
Well, you wait for 2 months and if they don't pay, then you cut the service 100%
And you send their file to EquiFax or the like...
This is good business practices, extortion is not.
I tough everything you said was brilliant...
Until I saw your domain name
If they can write to memory, they may be able to run any code they want to.
Not good...

Hmmmm even better if it's hot chicks in cold waters :-)
Their is no problems that a level of indirection can't solve.
he chats to MUCH... :)
On my side, I'm dislexic...
My younger brother has so much problem in its French course (we live in quebec...) because he chats to more.
he doesn't use chat abbreviation in its assignment, but he is so used to it that now, he wrote down things phonetically...

You can also overclock your old pentium to death!
There's a tutorial just here: Overclock a P133 to 1 Ghz!!!
If it can help someone: Some hints on Tom's Hardware
Today's recipe for being a sucessfull group:

Now, why are people not buying albums anymore?!?

Look on the VIA website
and on this one mini-itx website
And the D60 has a 6mp cmos sensor, the most beautifull image in this price-range
He was talking about the upload limit imposed by providers, not the download speed...
Upsetted me so much with their photo printer that I started to paint instead.
