Read more carefully: Google services via their proprietary apps (Gmail, Maps, YouTube, etc...).
Android is open but Google's apps are not. HTC, Samsung, etc have them because they pay google money. Kindle and el cheapo android phones don't have them because they didn't pay the google tax.
Wikipedia is poorly worded. They have paid accounts (with private repositories) and free accounts (with public repositories). You can have an open source project in a private repository. You can have a closed source project in a public repository.
It's time we stand up to the big bean lobby and institute a background check before all bean purchases. Why does anybody need more than 1 can of beans for supper? You don't, which is why we need to limit high capacity bags of beans to no more than 10 ounces. Additionally, we need to ban all assault beans -- baked beans containing bacon or pork. How many more bean incidents? How much more suffering must we endure?
If you read through the 1,500 page immigration bill, you'll understand. Tip: He's not talking about India, he's talking about Mexico and the rest of Central America. Look at the rhetoric and the results of the 60s era immigration reform and the 86 era amnesty.
They can't limit it (other than invoking a poison pill provision). But they can make an agreement with him. That's what a contract is - you agree to do (or not do) something in exchange for someone else doing (or not doing) something.
If you really want to know... Electrical utilities are a natural monopoly. In most locations, you don't have a choice in who provides your electricity because the city (for municipal power) or the state chose for you and granted the utility a monopoly. They also created a public service board or commission to regulate the utilities. The board approves rate hikes. You don't choose who is on the board. The utility asks them to raise rates to they can buy high-cost electricity. They approve it. You don't have a choice.
Good point. We've all heard of "economies of scale", right? Well, there are also "dis-economies of scale." And I don't mean a company is too small -- I mean they're too big. Microsoft should split up.
If VS or Office were spun off into a separate company, they would be free to develop for other platforms. Windows has a monopoly on desktop users but not on developers. Linux and OS X versions of Visual Studio could have respectable sales figures. They're giving up that money (and much more) by being Windows only.
Apple's Q1 is November/October/December (think different, I guess). Mac sales were down due to supply constraints on the new iMac (released November 30th). Q2 numbers will be announced later this month.
Well, 47% of people pay no income tax so they don't pay more than they have to. For the remaining 53%, if you don't read through the tax code (or pay someone else to do so), if you don't alter your behavior to qualify for available deductions and credits, you're paying more than you have to.
"I have to pay taxes to support free meals for those Google employees" is a retarded argument but... A [Google] spokeswoman declined to comment on the tax treatment of employee meals. Several former employees who recently left Google said the company didn't include the value of the meals in their paystubs or in W-2 tax statements.
The only 2 men with a black backpack that 4chan and reddit didn't accuse.

Have you tried GIMP? It's open, it's shit, you can edit goatse with it.
It's open source. You could add the button. Of course, it might not do anything, but you can add the button.
Maybe it's me, but the only use I can think of is (secretly?) recording POV porn.

It's true. I wore a watch in public and a criminal stole me. He left the watch, though.
If you're living in a virtual reality and all your actions are without consequence, it changes everything.
As a PS3 owner, I care less about backwards compatiblity and more about the fact that it's Sony.
That's the problem -- all the parts are there. Including the penis and testicles. It's a transvestite cheerleader..

Some states don't have a sales tax. Does that bother you?
