The man should be drawn and quartered for making such a piece of shit as C++.

It's his credibility from Bell Labs that make every marketeer love this big, bloated, and throughly offensive language. My beef is not with OOP, even though it's useless for anything practical. It's with the prositution of C (K&R in particular) for bullshit.

Jabber is missing a killer app... Hence, no one swtiches. It's transport support is cool, but lame and braindead in comparision to Trillian's or gaim's. It's like Beta Vs. VHS. Jabber (Beta) has some good tech and lofty goals. AIM/ICQ/MSN have shit, but control the masses. As always, it will take years to break that strong hold.

One of our inhouse programmers wrote a tool that makes code pretty much self-documenting.

Using ColdFusion, it strips out the comments for "Code Logic", rips out the Queries you use, the custom tags you use, and the parameters your page takes (url.person_name), so others can see them easily.

It then stores it all in a database table that can be modified when the source gets changed. The one thing it's missing is 'mass important'. You gotta do every file by hand and let it go through the motions.

Now if only there was a self-documenting user help system :)...
