    Yes, I told them the name dropped out of GPS a few years back, and they still haven't updated their Web page. You'll notice, however, that the word "Navstar" is nowhere in the GPS fact sheet.

    Actually, no it isn't. I work on the base that controls the GPS satellites, and they dropped "NAVSTAR" from their name a few years ago.

    No, I don't. Why should communications in wartime be any different than communications in peacetime? Do you really think the government will roll over and abolish the Patriot Act, stop its unconstitutional wiretapping activities, etc., the moment we "win" the "Global War on Terror"? For that matter, do you really think the "war on terror" is any more winnable than the "war on drugs"?

    Seriously, consider putting paragraph breaks in your posts. That way, people are more likely to read your thoughts, which (from what I *did* read) are fairly insightful in nature.

    The summary is a bit misleading. Yes, the US is pushing for this new IP concept, but it's through WIPO, so it's not intended solely for the US.

    The important part, though, is that international treaties are exempt from court jurisdiction. Which is why they're doing it as a treaty rather than as a law.

    I wonder how often in the future we'll see the government doing an end run around the Constitution in this manner ...

    Actually, I'd be happy to do that at an hourly rate. Alternately, I can spend time trying to clean the system without wiping it, again at an hourly rate. Or they can go home and reinstall the software themselves once their system is clean again.

    Search Google, do research and your own thinking and you'll find that there is A LOT of "information about anti-gravity, UFO technology, free energy and how UFOs are regularly airbrushed out from high-resolution satellite images." on the Internet and even though these things may sound odd, they are all extremely well documentet.

    Are you suggesting we should believe everything we read on the Internet? And are you saying it with a straight face, no less?
